Bib's College Pick 'em 2: Round 7

Alright here's how this is going to go. I'll come up with 12 games of interest every week for you all to choose from. You'll pick the winners and post them here or on the thread, whether you post them here or not, I will add them to the blog to make them easy to keep up with. I try to pick games between teams in the top 25, or in the other's recieving votes but then I move to teams with winning records then .500 records, and all teams are FBS.

Anybody is welcome to join in at any time, dont worry about missing a week if you decide to join late.

Good Luck!

This week's games:

(Rankings Reflect AP rankings)

*Thursday*

#8 Cincinnati at #21  South Florida 34-17

*Friday*

Pittsburgh (5-1) at Rutgers (4-1) 24-17

*Saturday*

#20 Oklahoma at #3  Texas 13-16

#11 Iowa at Wisconsin (5-1) 20-10

California (3-3) at  UCLA (3-2) 45-26

Texas Tech (4-2) at #15 Nebraska 31-10

N.C. State (3-3)  at Boston College (4-2) 20-52

#4 Virginia Tech at #19 Georgia Tech 23-28

Texas A&M (3-2) at Kansas State (3-3) 14-62

Stanford (4-2) at Arizona (3-2) 38-43

Missouri (4-1) at #16 Oklahoma St. 17-33

Washington (3-3) at  Arizona State (3-2) 17-24

My Picks :    4-8

Alright neither team has really played anybody. Yes USF beat Florida St. but what exactly is Florida St. right now? Not good if you ask me. Cinci's best win is against Oregon St. Another confusing team. It took 5 interceptions from Paulus for USF to beat them by 14 so I think I'll take my chances with Pike although a USF win wouldnt shock me with their defense.

They lost Pike and kept right on rolling Smile

Rutgers got raped and pillaged by cinci, but that was week one so throw it out. Their best win is against Maryland. Pitt's loss was to NC State on the road by one TD, and this game here is on the road at Rutgers. Like the first game in the pick em, Rutgers got 5 turnovers in that Maryland game. Pitt takes better care of the ball and is a better team than Maryland. they win.

That little freshman running back is a stud. Thank you lewis for the W Smile

Alright this one could be huge. Texas has not looked like we expected them to look but in one game (UTEP) that is why alabama jumped them in the polls, even this messed up politcal system we have recognizes their weaknesses. Trailing to the likes of Wyoming and Colorado. Now they went on to rout those teams but that was more on the intimidation factor after they came back into those games. Oklahoma isnt scared. you know what. To hell with it, I was going to be safe and go with Texas but I think I'm taking the Sooners. The D can force some turnovers and Bradford will avoid turning it over.

Damn bradford and his inability to fall like an athelete! OU wins if he stays healthy

Neither team really impresses me on paper, yes Iowa beat Penn St. but they just seem to have thier number for some reason. Close games against the likes of Northern Iowa, Arkansas State and Michigan. Wisconsin against michigan state and minnesotta . .. why not, Upset!

Well they went up 10-0 but then Iowa took over

With Cal I question their manhood. They seem to get down and then just roll over and take their beating (see USC and Oregon games). Both teams come in with 2 straight losses looking to turn it around. Cal managed just a field goal in their last two contests and have had 2 weeks to think about it. I think they explode on UCLA and Jahvid Best saves my college fantasy team :X

Well Cal won and Best saved my fantasy team Laughing

Texas Tech on the road against good teams 0-2. Also the only two games where they didnt break 30.

Well they broke 30 . . . and they won

These two teams are pretty evenly matched. Both were blown out in their last games. BC understandably by Vtech, NC state not so much so by Duke . . . naturally this tells you to go with BC but the ACC makes no sense so Wolfpack it is.

Holy doo doo. BC put up 52, are you kidding me . . .

The Georgia Tech D offers little resistance out there. VT and no hesitation with this on my part.

Awesome . . . ACC continues to F with me

The A&M offense is just going to be too much for this Kansas state team that allowed 66 (no not the route) to Texas Tech last week.

Allow 66 one week . . . score 62 the next, who the hell saw that coming

Stanford let me down last week but the good teams wont do that twice. They have been fairly consistent this year as opposed to other teams. If Arizona lives up to what they've been this year it should be a close game but Stanford pulls it out in the end.

Well it was close . . . only problem is Arizona scored 14 unanswered in the 4th

Alright Missouri has only played one team worth anything and that was Nebraska last week in their only loss. They let the likes of Bowling Green and Nevada hang with them. Missouri has an offense and OK state may have showed some weakness last week against A&M but I think they right the ship here and take care of business against Mizzou. Yaaaay!!! I picked a home team! lol

Wow, thought for sure I had picked Mizzou. alright this game isnt over yet . . .and it just ended. Thank you Smile

I fell into the trap of thinking Arizona State was good because they hung with Georgia . . . bad thinking. They beat Washington state in what looked like an actual game. Not good. Washington it is.

That had to be the worst defensive play in the history of football on that game winning catch . . .

This week's games:

(Rankings Reflect AP rankings)

*Thursday*

#21 Nebraska at #24 Missouri 27-12

*Saturday*

#17 Auburn at Arkansas (2-2) 23-44

Boston College (4-1) at #5 Virginia Tech 14-48

Iowa St. (3-2) at #16 Kansas 36-41

#3 Alabama at #20 Mississippi 22-3

#13 Oregon at UCLA (3-1) 24-10

Wisconsin (5-0) at #9 Ohio State 13-31

Connecticut (3-1) at Pittsburgh (4-1) 21-24

Kansas St. (3-2) at Texas Tech (3-2)14-66

Stanford (4-1) at Oregon St. (3-2) 28-38

#1 Florida at #4 LSU 13-3

Michigan (4-1) at #12 Iowa 28-30

My Picks :  8-4

One loss between the teams and that was a one point Nebraska loss to Virginia Tech. We all remember Tyrod Taylor scrambling around. All the wins were blowout wins over bad opponents. Missouri only beat Nevada 21-31 and from what I've seen Nevada is a bad team so nebraska it is.

Smile Alright got the first game right . . . lets hope it carries into saturday, really need that Iowa St. upset

Alright here's our upset, Auburn just jumped into the rankings but they will likely be falling out after this one. Bama shut them down but I dont think the Auburn D is that great this year. They had a close one on the road against Tennesee last week. Arkansas steals this one at home

Smile I got an upset right!!! can't believe it lol

They survived their bad game last week against Duke. They bounce back at home and take care of business against the Eagles

Cool That got ugly fast

This is going to be the biggest test thus far for Kansas and that's saying something. That, combined with the fact that they're coming off of their bye dont bode well for them. Iowa State suffered a highly disappointing loss last week on a missed EP so they have added motivation to get it done.

Iowa St. has killed me two weeks in a row now

I have no idea what happened to Ole Miss, there is no reason for them to have fallen off the way they have . . . I dont see an upset happening here.

Smile Poor Ole Miss . . .

The Oregon bounceback continues as they beat the Bruins, UCLA is a defensive team, Oregon offense is too much though.

Smile Thank you Oregon

Wisconsin is 5-0 but all of their wins, except Wofford, are by 8 points or less, This game could be similar but I dont think they come out on top.

Smile KEEP Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin AGGH

really tough one here. Pitt coming off a trouncing of Louisville and before that a loss to NC state. Uconn off of beating Baylor and trouncing Rhode Island. This is a toss-up game, Pitt is home but I dont care.

I always pick wrong on the close games it appears

Kansas St. should not have won last week . . . they're just a bad team right now, Im not sure about Yosemite Sam's health but Tech should win easily

Cool Damn. Glad everyone picked them lol

I really like Stanford, Gerhart keeps rolling and the Cardinal gets it done

Flippin Oregon St. . . they belong in the ACC

LSU has struggled on the road and they've played cupcakes at home. Florida wins with or without Tebow.

Smile Took care of them easily

This should be a close one both teams have had close games against good and bad teams. Iowa had a scare against Arkansas St. of all teams last week. and Michigan lost against a challenged Mich St. team . . . Iowa seems vulnerable and seems to not be able to score like they should be able to against bad teams. Michigan will simply outscore them

Ah, no 4th quarter comeback for Forcier the one time I need him to . . .

Alright here's how this is going to go. I'll come up with 12 games of interest every week for you all to choose from. not a lot of good games this week . . . I only really like 5 but the rest should be close so . . .

This week's games:

(Rankings Reflect AP rankings)

Wisconsin (4-0) at Minnesota (3-1)  31-28

Kansas St. (2-2) at Iowa St. (3-1) 24-23

UCLA (3-0) at Stanford (3-1) 16-24

Washington (2-2) at Notre Dame (3-1) 30-37 OT

NC State (3-1) at Wake Forest (2-2) 24-30

Florida State (2-2) at Boston College (3-1) 21-28

#4 LSU at #18 Georgia 20-13

Oregon St. (2-2) at Arizona St. (2-1) 28-17

Auburn (4-0) at Tennessee (2-2) 26-22

#7 USC at #24 California 30-3

#8 Oklahoma at #17 Miami 20-21

Colorado St. (3-1) at Idaho (3-1) 29-31

My Picks : 4-8

Perhaps one of the toughest games this week. both have had close games against good teams and bad teams, Wisconsin has the one blowout win over Wofford but that means nothing. I am going to go with Wisconsin, they seem to be a bit more well-rounded.

Quite the finish but Wisconsin held on, 6 straight years with the Ax Laughing

I'll go with the Seminoles, I dont trust BC to score against thier D but I'm sure the Noles can score against them.

last time I pick Florida St. . .

got to go with Iowa State. Kansas state barely beat Massachusetts (who I didnt even know had a football team) and lost to Louisiana-Lafayette. Yes they put up 49 on Tenessee Tech but seriously??? is that a community college? they play an intramural team?

Kansas state comeback . . . boo

Should be a good game. I think I'm going to go with Stanford, they have a pretty good home record over the past couple of years.

Stanford took care of business Laughing

Not only do I hate the Irish but they are banged up. Washington is coming off of a disappointing loss and are looking to bounce back. I like thier chances

well locker and his boys had a chance in OT but came up short

I'm going to take the Wolfpack. After my Gamecocks held them TD-less they apparently fixed the kinks and they've been scoring at a solid clip ever since. Wake, I like Skinner but their bad luck continues and they fall here.

so they have late wins and 2 late losses . . . Wake is dangerous in the pick 'em

Another tough one. I hate knowing more about one team than the other. Neither looks that impressive to me on paper, they both have some close games against teams they werent supposed to have them against. who to choose who to choose . . . Georgia has two lucky wins already. . . I think their streak continues.

Damn those Georgia dogs and their celebrations!!!

Arizona St. didnt look too bad against Georgia last week. They're the home team, I think they can score, Might be close but I think they pull it out. That UNLV game is still killing Oregon St. for me.

raaaaaaaah!!!!

Alright I dont know why everybody thought Tennessee was good because they beat Western Kentucky 63-7. They cant score, Auburn on the other hand can. Yet they allow points but like I said, Tennessee cant score. Auburn is an easy choice for me.

that's 3 . . .Laughing

Carrol didnt want Mark Sanchez to leave for a reason, the USC offense is not what we know it as. Throw on top of it that they just lost (I hate to say it) one of their Running backs, blah blah blah emotions, whatever. Cal needs a bounce back game. and I think it's time for Barkley to have his "welcome to the Pac-10" game and have a few turnovers.

Cal has let me down 2 weeks in a row

alright no Bradford, but that would have scared me anyway because I dont know where he is right now. Oklahoma's D shut down a pretty explosive Tulsa team this past week and Landry Jones has taken care of business ( yes I know against nobodies). Miami's D looks like it may not be as good as I may have thought. I think the tough schedule catches up with them. If Miami can get jones to mess up early they can take the game though . . . not a disclaimer, just my opinion.

Miami got a fumble and scored with a short field . . . that's why they won in my opinion. Both defenses played well

Idaho lost at Washington, by the same score that Colorado St. lost to BYU. I think BYU is better than Washington but I dont know how much better . . . Idaho has a very efficient offense, if the rams let Weber St. hang with them, why not the Vandals?

Thank you! I needed this bad I was close to dropping out of the Pick 'ems lol Laughing

This week's games:

(Rankings Reflect AP rankings)

* Saturday *

#22 North Carolina at Georgia Tech (2-1)

South Florida (3-0) at #18 Florida State

Wake Forest (2-1) at Boston College (2-1)

#15 TCU at Clemson (2-1)

#9 Miami at #11 Virginia Tech

#6 California at Oregon (2-1)

Colorado St. (3-0) at #19 BYU

Arizona St. (2-0) at #21 Georgia

Arizona (2-1) at Oregon State (2-1)

Iowa (3-0) at #5 Penn St.

#24 Washington at Stanford (2-1)

Texas Tech (2-1) at #17 Houston

My Picks : 5-7

This will likely be the game I wake up to tomorrow . . . well in about 10 hours. I got no reason to pick Georgia Tech. so Heels it is

ACC back to its old tricks . . .

I wanted to pick an upset, I wanted to pick it bad but then I looked at who USF has played and see that it's . . . nobody! Three cupcakes, by now you know how I feel about untested teams in big games. It's worked out for me thus far, USF gets smacked early. perhaps they recover, perhaps not, regardless the damage will be done

I guess they had something to prove

BC finally got tested last week, and they got exposed. Wake started with two tough ones and then got a tune up game against Elon, they take care of the Eagles here

Flippin fumble on a blown play in OT when you're already in position to tie it . . . worst way to lose

Defense has been TCU's bread and butter, the D looks soft this year and I know Clemson's D is good, throw in Spiller and the fact that they're at home and you get a Clemson W. Should be a close one though

I hate kickers . . .

Everybody is on Jacorry Harris' junk, I want Miami to be successful, I hate that they've not been what they used to be, yeah I hate the giants but I like having them. so when they get beat it's a big deal. I dont know, I just like the Hokies, I rarely pick against them. "Upset" time. Harris makes some mistakes.

I got one right!!! bout damn time

I'm glad Oregon has recoverd from the Blount issue but I love Cal, I've always leaned toward them but this year they've been lights out, Best is at the top of the Heisman chase and Riley has played some great ball at the QB spot. The D isnt bad either, I think this is their year.

HOLY CRAP, Cal got punked. They showed no backbone or manhood in this one, just gave up after they got down

I dont see what everybody has seen from BYU that they like . . . and I know none of you have seen Colorado St. I like to believe that they're getting votes for the top 25 for a reason and I'll be the only one to take them for the upset. Go Rams!

whatever . . .23-42, and i picked the wrong upset

I wanted to pick AZ state here, but once again untested. Georgia only has one cupcake on their schedule and they dont play them for a while.

yay, i got it right!  . . . oh, everybody else did too

I dont know what to think of Oregon St. they barely beat UNLV and people dis Zona becaus of their loss to Iowa but Iowa was billed as a solid team coming into the year. I'm talking the Cats

Close one but the cats pulled it out

Penn St. hasnt really played anybody, but they've allowed 7 points or less to each of those nobodies. They're one of the only top teams that has actually played like a top team every game. They keep rolling here.

Started well . . . ended horribly

This should be a heck of a game, two good QB's. Defenses arent awesome . . . tough call . . . really tough, toss up. I'll go with Stanford

Second half looking better than the first

Houston is just way too efficient. The QB is experienced, they've played together for a while, Tech will get stopped a few times and you cant afford that in this game.

Thank you Houston . . . i needed this one bad

Boston College (2-0) at Clemson (1-1)

#8 California at Minnesotta (2-0)

Louisville (1-0) at Kentucky (1-0)

#18 Utah at Oregon (1-1)

#19 Nebraska at #13 Virginia Tech

Arizona (2-0) at Iowa (2-0)

Connecticut (1-1) at Baylor (1-0)

#17 Cincinnati at Oregon State (2-0)

Florida State (1-1) at #7 BYU

West Virginia (2-0) at Auburn (2-0)

#23 Georgia at Arkansas (1-0)

My Picks : 9-3

We've seen each team in a big game recently as far as exposure, tech in the thursday game, Miami in the Monday night game. tech started hot and finished cold. lucky to hold on for the win. miami won in a back and forth game but was pretty consistent. that said I have to go with Tech. The ACC always kills me Miami looked better so I have to go with Tech.

lol, guess I overthought it. Miami should win so I go with tech? dumb Foot in mouth

Alright Boston College played Northeast ern and beat them 54-0. I almost thought it said northwestern. they also played Kent St. allowed 7 points in that one. but really how tough is kent state? they scored 18 on Coastal Carolina. I think that thier lack of a true test is going to bite them here. Clemson has stud defensive lineman and those BC guys have faced nothing near them thus far this year. Turnovers early help clemson get a lead and we saw the offense pull it together in the second half against Miami.

Ugly game but a win none-the-less. Hopefully the last time I have to pick Clemson

Close wins over Air Force and Syracuse dont show me much. Cal is just too potent offensively for Minnesota to keep up.

Best just got nasty, Minnesotta did better than I expected though

Alright this is the first test for each of these schools. However I do know that Miami (OH) usually has a solid squad, and the MAC can put up some points so Kentucky shutting them out is significant. A guy i went to school with plays DE for Kentucky and the D is what I think makes the difference.

Close game, another W for me though, I'm on a roll!!!!

I'm a little put off by the fact that Utah only beat San Jose St. 24-14 when USC beat them 56-3. I did see that they fumbled the ball away twice though. Oregon, well we all know about them losing their best player. They had a tough win against Purdue in their last game also with turnover issues. They allowed a ton of yards though. This is a tough call for me. I dont trust the utah offense as much as I would have and the D has been alright but not what I expected. Oregon pulls the upset and snaps Utah's streak of 16 straight.

Streak snapped . . .Cool

well, Nebraska has looked awesome against nobody teams . . . Va Tech looked good against Bama, and destroyed Marshall. Marshall being more respectable than Arkansas st. and Florida Atlantic. Another tough call. Wish I had actually seen Nebraska. They have the better QB but I think Tech is the better overall team. Hokies pull it out with D . . . and special teams of course.

Touchdown in the final seconds, How about that . . .

Man, I put together a tough slate here lol. Alright neither has really played anybody. I personally know more about the Cats. More specifically that they have a good running back. the hawkeyes run D looks week. Allowing the Iowa St. back to run for 100 yards on 19 carries when we all know Iowa St. would suck in the FCS. Cats it is.

I expected this to be closer if Iowa won. There's a miss

Baylor beat wake forest two weeks ago in a close one. Uconn lost to UNC in a close one this past week. I think NC is slightly better than Wake but that only means that this should be a decent game. the Uconn run D is stout and thier pass D is just a step below that. fortunately for Baylor they can do both. I almost want to go with Baylor but my gut is telling me to go against that and take the Huskies.

Score one for the Gut!

Easy call for me this time. The Bearcats offense has been unstoppable thus far this season. I dont see that changing any time soon. That, plus the close call for oregon St. against UNLV gives me the beardcats easy.

I said it was an easy call, and they won so I dont look like an idiot lol

everybody knows these non-BCS schools dont get caught sleeping against BCS schools. Max Hall has had an extra week to get his rythm going since that Oklahoma game. and Jacorry Harris threw all over FSU's D so why can't Hall. Plus State was unimpressive to say the least against Jacksonville st.

wow, doubt anybody saw that coming

This is not an SEC homer pick. Auburn appears to have something offensively this year, and we all know the Defense is there. I pickekd ECU to beat WV last week. I'll bet against them again and see how it goes.

Auburn worked out for me, good stuff baby!

If you havent caught on yet I have trouble picking a team that hasnt played anybody to win . . . Georgia has played to tough teams and Arkansas one cupcake. I have to take the dogs.

and my theory didnt come back to bite me this time, good stuff. What's up with Georgia and these shootouts though?

* Saturday *

South Carolina at #21 Georgia

#19 North Carolina at Connecticut

UCLA at Tennessee

#18 Notre Dame at Michigan

#3 USC at #8 Ohio St.

Stanford at Wake Forest

East Carolina at West Virginia

Air Force at Minnesotta

UCF at Southern Miss

Mississippi St. at Auburn

Purdue at Oregon

My Picks : 8-4

Writing a paper and a cover letter for my resume right now so incase I dont get around to actual analysis tomorrow I'm going to pick G tech simply because I hate Clemson

Well that worked out for me

Perhaps it's not a shocker that this is a tough call for me, now of course OK state is a good team but the Big 12 isnt know for their defense, I'd go with Georgia easily in most cases but 10 points against a Big 12 team? young QB, running game didnt do much, offensively both teams put up similar numbers . . . you know what. I need a reason to pick against my team and right now I dont have one. GO GAMECOCKS! 20-17

Cry

North Carolina played Citadel, cant get much from that. However Uconn squeaked out a win against Ohio . . . not Ohio St. Ohio. for somer reason i have the Uconn D on my fantasy team but Im taking the heels. A week to retune their offense and they should be good to go this week. 35-24

Wow 12-10 on a holding in the endzone . . . anytime an O-lineman decides a game its not a good thing. rough week ahead for that guy

What!?! whoa! the Vols destroyed WKU!!! lol Kiffin is a donkey (slang term for one anyway) Of course hes going to run up a score, I'm not impressed by that. Meanwhile UCLA had a great game and didnt run up a score. I think this is a close one but the Bruins pull it out

haha, down goes Kiffin

Alright I have to pick one team I hate I guess, I'll take the Irish. I just dont think the Wolverines are quite there yet, young teams are going to be inconsistent, although if Clausen feels a little pressure, be it a d-lineman bearing down on him or a deficit anything can happen. 34- 24

One miss I can live with . . .

Alright I like Navy, I wont lie but Ohio St. has to do better than that for me. perhaps they were practicing for USC and didnt study up on the Navy O but eh, I dont like it. I have to take the Trojans (usually do) I think it will be an entertaining game though. 38- 27

Lol, wow, who saw a last minute USC victory coming?

First game where I dont hate or love one of the teams . . . This game could be ugly, a low scoring affair more than likely. its a west coast team travelling cross-country to play a noon game. I think they had a horrid record in these games last year. I think these two are evenly matched but in the end, homefield takes it. 17-14

Another nail-biter, Wake pulled it out at the end.  didnt look good for a while there.

Alright two teams i know little about. both got wins but neither was that impressive. My boy Tommy Beecher (started the opener for my gamecocks last year is) is now the QB at liberty and was 22-33 with over 200 yards against WV, App St. made the ECU game look close but they scored most of their points in the 4th quarter . . . eh, I think Pinkney puts it together this week 28-20

Well it was close for a while but a swing and a miss . . .

I dont know why people are impressed with a Minn. win over Syracuse . . . in OT no less . . . against a QB who hasnt played football in 5 years. I like the Minn. O but I think the D is what does them in. 40-35

ah, close one but it didnt work out for me

Easy choice . . . they dominated their oponent UCF barely beat Samford. Plus Favre's alma-mater is getting their top WR back . . . hopefully. 35-17

closer than i expected but I got what i wanted

For me it comes down to State being too one-dimensional and not overwhelmingly strong at that one dimension. SEC is all about D. Auburn keeps it. Auburn wins it. 20-10

Alright this one helped me out a little

Toledo threw for over 400 yards on the Boilermaker defense, they didnt run the ball at all so losing the only RB you have not such a big deal for Oregon. Purdue ran the ball well but Oregon has a solid run D. I think the ducks recover here. 34-24

Another of the last minute finishes. and then a near brawl at the end lol

College Bball Pick 'em: Round 5 and Bowl Pick 'em

Alright so here's how this works.

I'll come up with 12 games every week. I'll have them up on Monday or Tuesday of each week. I'll only try to use teams from Major conferences or small conference teams that have a shot at being in the NCAA tourney, and I'll only choose games that are to be played on Friday - Sunday.

You'll pick the winners and post them here or on the GB10 thread, PM them to me, just get them to me. Whether you post them here or not, I will add them to the blog to make them easy to keep up with.

Anybody can jump in at any time, I put the player with the highest weekly average amongst the winners for those who aren't here for every week.

My thinking is that keeping up with the regular season will enhance your brackets come March.

and this is the final week that the bowl pick 'em standings and what not will be on here, going to be all b-ball in a minute, yaaay, lol

Good Luck!

This week's games:

Basketball

(Rankings Reflect AP rankings)

* Saturday *

Kansas (10-3) at #8 Michigan St. Michigan St.

#23 Louisville at #18 Villanova Louisville

#2 Duke at Florida St. (13-2) Duke

#25 West Virginia at Marquette (13-2) Marquette

California (13-2) at Washington (10-3) California

Miami (FL) (11-3) at #17 Boston College (13-2) Miami

Vanderbilt (11-3) at Kentucky (11-4) Kentucky

* Sunday *

#3 North Carolina at #4 Wake Forest Wake

#10 UCLA at USC (10-4) UCLA

Penn St. (12-3) at #22 Minnesota Minnesota

Wisconsin (11-3) at #14 Purdue Purdue

LSU (12-1) at Alabama (10-3) Alabama

My Basketball Picks:  10-2

Kansas has been up and down against the big opponents this year. they beat Tennessee in their last game against a big-time opponent so they'll lose this one

I don't see any impressive wins on Nova's resume... I can't pick them, neither of their losses (Texas and Marquette) was a bad loss but I think Louisville will get them

. . .I don't know, they're home and they had an 8 point game with Pitt, good enough for me

toughest one for me so far. . .I'm going to take Marquette in a close one

Washington is coming off of a huge win against Washington St. I say they have a letdown...ahh..they play Stanford tomorrow, I may change this one...alright the Stanford game has been played, Washington won, but I think Cal completes the Washington sweep

lol, gonna go with a PTI quote here..."everybody's slurping" BC because of the win over UNC, they have the potential to have a great game doesn't mean they will every game, lol, hence the loss to Harvard and yes I was picking Miami before the Harvard loss

I'd like them both to finish behind my Gamecocks to prove a point, but I really don't see how Vandy was picked ahead of us, lol that is hilarious to me, we're about to get deeper this weekend too....oh, I'm off topic, yeah I just want Vandy to stink it up,  a loss to Ill. Chicago is worse than one to VMI

I like Dino Gaudio... lol not sure I mentioned this but he's the only coach that recruited me (back when he was at Loyola (MD))...but I like my Heels more, get it done Heels!!!

Lil romeo will not see the court, unless he's coming in when the Trojans concede victory

Penn St. had a great recruiting class a year ago, but these guys are young, they've had a lot of close games, just beat Purdue, I don't think they'll win this one. They're a year away if these kids stay

when i first picked this game I thought I was going to go with Wisconsin, Purdue is coming off of two tough losses, they'll be extra-motivated to get this one, they need it or they're going to be in some trouble in the Big 10

what's up with all the LSU love? lol I'm taking Bama, one common opponent, Bama dominated LSU barely hung on...not a good reason to pick a team but reason enough for me to not feel stupid taking a risk in picking the team nobody else did
