RFG's Eliminator Game Race 14

Well, a surprising Kansas with fuel strategy shaked things up quite a bit, so who is left the winner? Brad Keselowski, needless to say nobody picked him, but fuel strategy could have hurt a lot of people, let's see the damage this track did:

PODIUM

1.) Mikeyfan-            80

Section-                   80

3.) Spikesgator-        79

Well so much for damage, really I wouldn't consider anyone in or out right now, with only 18 points from last to first, and 9 from first to 13th, this is anything but in the bag for everybody. This should make for a Pocono that may actually be interesting.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 13

Well, an action packed Lowe's is done, but with not all the expected drivers up top. With Harvick in first, and Jimmie all the way down in 28th, this race proved to be anything but predictable. So lets get right to the standings and see who's going home:

PODIUM

1.) Section-               162 (86) (+6) (Way to steal the thunder from Mikeyfan, and he did this w/o his favorite driver, handicap drivers were the way to go this week apparently.)

2.) Mikeyfan-            151 (70) (0) (Another MWR pick paid off! Ahead of Edwards too..only one person is crazy enough to predict that.)

3.) Foreplus-             135 (66) (+8) (Who would have thunk that 66 was a good score...)

NON-PODIUM 125 CLUB

4.) River Rat-            133 (58) (+4)

5.) D2Moo-               128 (44) (-4) (I believe this is the first time where someone went from first to out of the podium...)

100 CLUB

6.) Fogducker-           123 (43) (-3)

7.) Tigersman-          122 (45) (-3)

8.) Sfrye-                  121 (44) (-4)

Floridawhite-              121 (44) (-4)

10.) ILL55INI-            118 (43) (-2)

11.) Berlyn-                117 (42) (-3)

12.) Bored at Work-     116 (69) (+4) (Considering how everyone else did, he got the miracle he needed and then some.)

13.) Spikesgator-        115 (47) (0)

14.) Edwardsfan-         114 (45) (-3)

15.) Roushfenwayguy- 110 (45) (0) (The two most popular drivers didn't add up to much this week.)

CHOKED UP CLUB

16.) Chokin Colts-       99 (31) (-2) (Choked up in a BIG way, and with two of the most dominant drivers this season too... that's Lowe's for ya.)

Well, nobody got the winner of Harvick, he's gotten quite a bit now, so you would think more people would pick him on a weekly basis. Anyways, this week was our worst week to date, worse than Daytona, Talladega, any race... which is just crowned by the poor performance on Chokin Colts this race, which will be leaving us this session.

Winning Drivers Chosen:

Bored at Work- 4

Spikesgator-    3

D2Moo-           3

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 12

Well, Dover sure proved to be more about strategy than a monster, but the monster still did a pretty good job of taking some drivers out of the equation like Kasey Kahne. As for the winner, Matt Kenseth, well only one person was bold enough to go with him, and that is
D2Moo, congratulations, but is it enough to come out top of the standings? Lets see how everyone did:

PODIUM

1.) D2Moo-              84 (This is what happens when you are the only one to pick the winner.)

2.) Mikeyfan-           81 (Wait, a MWR pick actually paid off!?!?!)

3.) Fogducker-         80

NON-PDOIUM 75 CLUB

4.) Tigersman-         77

Floridawhite-            77

Sfrye-                     77 (This is what the most popular duo did in the correct order.)

7.) Section-             76

8.) Berlyn-               75 (This is what the most popular duo did, could have been much better though w/o pit strategy.)

River Rat-                75

ILL55INI-                75

65 CLUB

11.) Foreplus-         69

Edwardsfan-            69

13.) Spikesgator-    68

Chokin Colts-         68

15.) Roushfenwayguy- 65

LIVIN' ON A PRAYER ZONE

16.) Bored at Work- 47 (Kasey Kahne has elimination looming over Bored's door.)

Wow, look at all those ties... 10 of our 14 people have ties, not that people didn't go Edwards Johnson crazy, and for those people, hope you have another plan because those are both great drivers for Lowe's, you can keep one of those two however. As for bored... well, best of luck to him, because at Lowe's anything can happen, but an 18 point gap is pretty large.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 11

Sorry for getting this up late again... gotta stop making this a habit... anyways... Regan Smith won! So guesses are that nobody picked him, and a wise guess indeed. After this though, we at least had some that picked Carl Edwards... but lets see how everything turned out, especially for those Jeff Burton pickers...

1.) Chokin Colts-       174 (83) (+3) (With the runner up and +2 from Hamlin, that is good enough for first place this session.)

2.) Tigersman-          171 (76) (-1)

3.) Mikeyfan-            169 (76) (0)

4.) Spikesgator-        165 (70) (-3)

5.) Edwarsfan-           159 (74) (+2) (Good week with picking Edwards... again... but he's a great every-week pick.)

6.) Sfrye-                  155 (76) (+4)

7.) Section-               154 (74) (+2)

8.) Bored at Work-     142 (74) (+3)

9.) Foreplus-             137 (51) (-4)

10.) Berlyn-                134 (51) (-2)

11.) Floridawhite-        132 (74) (-1)

12.) D2Moo-               131 (45) (-7) (The only one to pick Bowyer, and it shows... and not in a good way...)

13.) Fogducker-           129 (76) (+2) (He maybe the best person at even numbered weeks, but he sucks during odd numered weeks...)

14.) Roushfenwayguy-  123 (65) (-2)

15.) ILL55INI-             107 (65) (+2) (Really? 3 people within 2 points of eachother to avoid elimination, now that's action!)

16.) River Rat-            106 (51) (-2) (Last week Gordon took the rat down, now Burton has the Rat packing... almost that is...)

17.) Fsu1dogs-            105 (55) (-1) (1 point... so close... but that's racing for ya, every position matters.)

So yes, by one microscopic point... two from ILL55INI, Fsu has the lowest score of the session in what maybe the close 3 way fight for survival ever... its too bad that I can't keep all 3 of you in, and Fsu does have the lowest of them all... so it is Fsu and the doghouse that leaves us this week.

For me this week, he's the best avg. finisher here, and he is first in the standings, so why not Carl Edwards? I'm also going with Greg Biffle, because over the last five weeks, this guy has sneakily made his way from around 24th to 12th in the standings... and he's great here.

Roushfenwayguy- Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 10

Sorry for getting this up so late guys, finals week for me came fast, and add on top of that that I got hit with lots of work, it hasn't left me with much time to do this, so hopefully everyone can get their picks in considering Darlington is Saturday night. Anyways, Kyle first, Denny second... 9 picks for Hamlin, 7 for Kyle, looks like there is a very good week for us, so if you even did mediocre this week, you could be in trouble, but Darlington can easily turn things around. Let's see what the standings look like now though:

PODIUM

1.) Spikesgator-        95 (Top 2, and in the right order, that's good enough for the highest points total in once race this season.)

Tigersman-               95

3.) Mikeyfan-            93

NON-PODIUM 75 CLUB

4.) Chokin Colts-       91

5.) Foreplus-             86

D2Moo-                    86

7.) Edwardsfan-         85

8.) Berlyn-                83

9.) Section-              80

10.) Sfrye-                79

Bored at Work CLUB

11.) Bored at Work-    68

DANGER ZONE

12.) Roushfenwayguy- 58

Floridawhite-              58 (Gordon also takes down Florida after picking the winner.

14.) River Rat-           55 (And Jeff Gordon brings River Rat's Hamlin pick down in flames.)

15.) Fogducker-          53

16.) Fsu1dogs-           50 (Not the best week to have a driver get taken out of things like JPM.)

17.) ILL55INI-            42

So the gap from the rich in points vs. the poor is quite large, without bored at work, there is 21 points seperating 10th from 12th, quite a large differential, which will likely make a huge difference in making all those people safe. As for the rest of us, its off to Darlington to face the devil in black.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 9

Well, it took me awhile to get this up, but here it is, after week off, we now go to Richmond, fresh off a Jimmie Johnson win, and how many picked him? Fogducker and Chokin Colts. Although the win was by only .002 seconds, we know no distances in this game, just positions. So lets get to the standings and see how bad Talladega shaked things up... and who got eliminated:

1.) Chokin Colts-       178 (91) (+1) (Best of RHR is usually a pretty good thing, this time its a very good thing.)

2.) Bored at Work-     172 (76) (-1) (Not quite time to go to Vegas, but maybe after Richmond.)

3.) Section-               155 (81) (+3) (Uses the handicaps just right to get... 81 points... what is up with 81!?)

Floridawhite-              155 (86) (+8) (Biggest mover, and with two top 5 picks at Dega is quite impressive.)

5.) Spikesgator-        154 (81) (+3)

Mikeyfan-                 151 (81) (+5) (Mikeyfan played the handicap game right, at least with Clint Bowyer.)

7.) Berlyn-                149 (81) (+5) (Harvick Jr. was a pretty popular lineup huh?)

ILL55INI-                 149 (70) (-3)

9.) Fogducker-          144 (90) (+8) (Every time Fogducker is in trouble, he comes back with an amazing second week.)

10.) D2Moo-              143 (56) (-8) (JPM made D2Moo fall down a big ladder.)

11.) Fsu1dogs-          142 (70) (-2)

12.) Tigersman-         138 (81) (+4)

13.) Foreplus-             135 (76) (+2)

14.) River Rat-            132 (58) (-8)

15.) Edwardsfan-          131 (56) (-10) (Well, at least neither of them crashed.)

16.) Roushfenwayguy- 113 (45) (-4) (Its a sad day when your driver crashes, its even worse when your other driver crashes him.)

17.) Sfrye-                  108 (49) (-3) (Ragan completely ruins Edwards good run)

18.) RAK-                    95 (52)  (0) (Well, Kyle Busch put the dagger into RAK, not the first dagger he's used on someone.)

Well, looks like RAK is the one leaving us this week, where a lot of things went right and wrong in Talladega, it proves that the first week had a lot of weight on it, too much for RAK to overcome. As for the rest of the standings, its surprising to see Bored at Work not on top with 172, what's more surprising is that 17 points seperates 2nd from 3rd, and that same 17 points seperates 3rd from 12th... needless to say Bored and Chokin dominated this session with authority, and the question is, can Chokin carry this momentum? Because we all know that Bored at Work can.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 8

Well, Matt Kenseth finally ended the drought at a track where RFR is usually dominant, so the win did make some sense, but lets see who picked him... two people this time, congratulations to FSU, and yes, you guessed it, once again Bored at Work picked the winner... and second place... needless to say he will be the leader this race and probably for this segment, but then again, it is Talladega, picking a winner here is like picking Trevor Bayne to win the 500, and if Bored does it again, people will probably be looking for which winning driver Bored chooses. So lets get to the standings and see how everyone else did:

PODIUM

1.) Bored at Work-     96 (I'm pretty sure Bored had this great of a season until the segment before the chase as well... right now he's lapping everyone.)

2.) Chokin Colts-       87 (Picked the best of those that didn't win.)

3.) D2Moo-               87

NON- PODIUM 75 CLUB

ILL55INI-            79

Edwardsfan-         75

65 CLUB

Section-              74

River Rat-           74

Spikesgator-        73

Fsu1dogs-           72 (Had the winner, but Jeff Gordon could not save him a good position.)

Mikeyfan-            70

Floridawhite-        69

Roushfenwayguy- 68 (Harvick could not go 3 for 3, and instead went down hard.)

Berlyn-                68

55 CLUB

Foreplus-             59 (Only had +2 handicap total this week, maybe she should stick to handicap drivers?)

Sfrye-                  59

Tigersman-          57 (The fall of Denny Hamlin is hurting a lot of people with picks this year.)

DANGER ZONE

Fogducker-          54

RAK-                   43 (This is not a great way to head to Talladega... Mark Martin's troubles really brought the score down.)

Winning Drivers Chosen:

Bored at Work- 4

Spikesgator-    2

Fsu1dogs-        2

Tigersman-      1

Berlyn-            1

D2Moo-           1

Bradman-        1

Edwardsfan-     1

Section-           1

RAK-                1

River Rat-         1

ILL55INI-          1

Fogducker-        1

Now, because I saw how strong some of the handicaps were, I have decided to revamp the system: 13-15th can no longer be used for handicaps, like most of last year until the chase. Also, handicaps have been decreased slightly (really your only losing 1 or 2 points though). And here are the new handicap lists:

+2 handicap: 16th-22nd

Jeff Gordon (Chaser last year)

Clint Bowyer (Chaser last year)

Bobby LaBonte

Marcos Ambrose

Greg Biffle (Chaser last year)

Denny Hamlin (Chaser last year)

David Ragan

+4 handicap: 23rd- 29th

Brad Keselowski

Brian Vickers

Jeff Burton (Chaser last year)

David Gilliland

David Reutimann

Jamie McMurray

Joey Logano

+6 handicap: 30th- 35th

Regan Smith

Bill Elliott

Robby Gordon

Casey Mears

Andy Lally

Dave Blaney

+8 handicap: Anyone below 35th

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 7

Well, another race, another Harvick win, in what looked like and was anticipated to be a Johnson, Hamlin big finish, they ended up being cycled back a bit. So who picked our winner that has just gone 2 for 2? Well it wasn't Section... again... in fact it was once again Bored at Work, also a Harvick fan where his loyalty to his driven is starting to pay BIG dividens, but I'm sure that more people are going to follow suit this next race after back to back wins. Anyways, Denny and Jimmie still did pretty good, as well as Gordon, so lets see where people ended up:

PODIUM

1.) Bored at Work-    173 (92) (+3) (BY FAR had the best lineup this week, add a winner, and the best score ever for both one week and total in the competition so far, and you got a combination that is impecible... although the season is young...)

2.) FOREPLUS-          161 (79) (+1) (Has finishes of 2nd, 2nd, and 1st through 3 sessions, amazing for HER.)

3.) Mikeyfan-            157 (77) (+2)

NON-PODIUM 150 CLUB

4.) D2Moo-               155 (72) (-2)

5.) Roushfenwayguy- 154 (76) (+1)

Berlyn-                     154 (69) (-4)

125 CLUB

7.) Floridawhite-        149 (71) (-1)

8.) Sfrye-                  148 (76) (+3)

9.) Tigersman-          147 (69) (-3)

10.) ILL55INI-             146 (69) (-1)

11.) RAK-                   144 (72) (0)

12.) Spikesgator-        142 (69) (-2)

13.) River Rat-            141 (69) (-2)

14.) Chokin Colts-       139 (79) (+2)

15.) Section-               138 (71) (-1)

16.) Fsu1dogs-            130 (63) (-2)

17.) Fogducker-           125 (86) (+1) (Really wanted to make sure that he wasn't eliminated.)

100 CLUB

18.) Edwardsfan-          122 (62) (-1) (His favorite driver couldn't keep himself on the lead lap, has Edwardsfan chose him every week?)

19.) Bradman-             108 (72) (0) (Had a pretty good point total, but everyone did, so it wasn't enough to save himself.)

So this week, our defending champion, and first year's runner up, argueably the best player at this game, is already out during the second elimination... so we do know one thing, there will be a new champion this year compared to last year, but its still very sad to see someone go out because they forgot to make picks, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Winning Drivers Chosen:

Bored at Work- 3
Spikesgator-    2

Tigersman-      1

Berlyn-            1

RAK-                1

River Rat-         1

ILL55INI-          1
