RFG's Eliminator Game Race 19

Well it looks like the nationwide choosers were correct in their assumptions, Kyle and Edwards did very well, and those that picked them are getting big rewards, this may not be the lowest scoring week like I imagined because of all the common drivers that did so well, but lets see for ourselves who did the best:

Foreplus-             149 (77) (Hangs on the lead that she only earned from her pick 3 picks last week.)

Spikesgator-        148 (84) (Sticking with JGR paid off this week, at least for Kyle Busch.)

Roushfenwayguy- 147 (80)

Section-              144 (73)

Bored at Work-    142 (72)

ILL55INI-            142 (89)

Tigersman-          141 (75)

Syfre-                  141 (84)

River Rat-            133 (75)

D2Moo-               128 (79)

Edwardsfan-         119 (86) (The Busch bros. were a great combo this week.)

Mikeyfan-            112 (89) (A terrific week to rebound from that really awful previous one... although it wasn't enough.)

Fogducker-          112 (45) (Given Regan Smith and Bobby LaBonte autopicks, who would have thought that it would result in a tie???)

So we are left in a tie, the rule for a tie is that both people need to make DIFFERENT PICKS (first come first serve), if one fails to make picks, that person will be eliminated automatically, and whoever has the lowest score of the two gets eliminated. The other side of the story though, is that Mikeyfan has the save should he lose, and he will stay in the game, but if he loses by too much, he could just get eliminated in the next segment, so it will be very interesting to see how this tie is broken next week at New Hampshire.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 18

Sorry for getting this up so late guys, but David Ragan finally got his win, and how many chose him? One, sfrye, who has been picking Ragan all this season and finally got a win for it. But with some big drivers taken out (cough, Carl Edwards), lets see how everyone did.

Thank goodness for the RFG autopicks (Pick 3 picks), but anyways, make sure you pick this week Foreplus, because on the third time my autopicks will disappear, gotta make sure that everyone stays part of the game, but I'm sure you just forgot so that's why this is pretty much a mulligan.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 17

Well, Kurt Busch actually won a road course, whodathunk? Certainly not me, but once again bored at work did, and he will get yet another win, trying to lock down that chase bonus like he would have last year, except he got eliminated... anyways, lets see how everyone did, and who is going home:

PODIUM

1.) ILL55INI-             160 (81) (+4) (Wrong order, but still good enough to hold off the Rat and slingshot up to first.)

2.) River Rat-            156 (83) (+6) (Choosing the 2nd and 3rd most common picks seemed to be the way to go this week.)

3.) Roushfenwayguy- 150 (67) (0) (JPM failed to live up to his road course name, Jeff Gordon lived up to his name though.)

125 CLUB

4.) Tigersman-         146 (64) (0)

5.) Mikeyfan-           145 (56) (-4) (So much for Lally being the next road racing king.)

6.) D2Moo-              142 (70) (+3) (Your instints weren't great, but not bad either.)

7.) Fogducker-         140 (52) (-5)

8.) Bored at Work-    137 (81) (+6) (Major redemption from last week thanks to being the only one with the winner.)

9.) Section-              135 (64) (+1)

10.) Edwardsfan-       131 (64) (+2)

11.) Sfrye-                130 (62) (0)

Foreplus-                 122 (48) (-6) (Tony Stewart crash did not help much for many.)

I HATE VICKERS CLUB

14.) Berlyn-               102 (29) (-7) (Not even getting 30 points, that's rough enough of a week to bring anyone down to last.)

Well, after being the only one, along with Bradman and me, to see the finals in the first two seasons, berlyn has been taken out of the competition, we will sure miss having our lead girl here, as that privlige will go to Foreplus now, although she also picked Smoke... is there someone about smoke that I don't know about???

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 16

Well Hamlin got his first win, and two people were brave enough to stick with him, congratulations to Tigersman, and once again, Mikeyfan... who will be trying to up his already incredibly high average. So let's see how everyone else did.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 15

Well this is a big week for this game at least... between the boring Pocono and Michigan, I figured that some excitement in this game would help out, so this is what's going to happen.

1.) People must switch out both their drivers used for each segment, not just one, thus, the same driver can't be used every week, and may make some strategy come into play. Example:

Race 15: Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon

Race 16: Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon (will not be accepted)

Race 16: Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt Jr. (will be accepted)

Race 17: Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt Jr. (will be accepted since weeks 16 and 17 are in two different sessions.)

I'll explain anything if people don't get this.

2.) The save rule is now in effect, unlike last year, I will take the top three in average finish AT THE START OF each segment, and as long as they register picks for both weeks, they will be safe from elimination, in addition, after the save is used, only one will be eliminated the next segment instead of two, considering that we are kinda low on people this year.

That's about it, also I have to say that you guys have been doing fantastic making your picks in this year, very seldom have I had to go and get my random generator out, which I had to do constantly last year.

Anyways, about Pocono... well Hamlin didn't record a top 10, and that will hurt... well... almost nobody, because ONLY 2 PEOPLE DIDN'T PICK HAMLIN... and those two that did... picked Edwards... I sense a baaaaad week... hopefully this is the last time this happens, but we will have to see how well those people did, and who is eliminated this segment... also Gordon finally won, so who picked him? Just one, which is Fogducker, add that +2 handicap, and he made Fogducker continue his even week dominance, so lets see how everyone else did:

1.) Fogducker-          155 (80) (+7) (This week, even with someone in 19th, the winner was a pole-vault right into the lead.)

2.) Mikeyfan-            151 (71) (-1) (Looks like the Busch bros. were a great duo, its unfortunate that nobody picked both of them.)

ILL55INI-                 151 (72) (+1)

4.) Bored at Work-    148 (70) (+1)

5.) Roushfenwayguy- 146 (72) (+5) (Trust in favorite driver pays off, also the only one to pick Kurt.)

6.) Section-              135 (55) (-5)

7.) Berlyn-                132 (55) (-1)

8.) River Rat-            131 (55) (-1)

9.) Tigserman-          130 (68) (+6)

10.) Spikesgator-        124 (45) (-7)

11.) Sfrye-                  123 (48) (-3)

12.) Foreplus-             118 (53) (+2)

13.) Edwardsfan-         108 (36) (-2) (This is what happens when Carl Edwards has a bad race.)

14.) D2Moo-               107 (36) (-1)

15.) Floridawhite-         103 (31) (-4) (Well he was due for a bad week, but this was not a good week for it to happen for Florida at least.)

So eliminated was Floridawhite, one of the most consistent people last year, he' couldn't keep up that consistency this year, and now bites the dust...

Winning Drivers Chosen:

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 14

Well, a surprising Kansas with fuel strategy shaked things up quite a bit, so who is left the winner? Brad Keselowski, needless to say nobody picked him, but fuel strategy could have hurt a lot of people, let's see the damage this track did:

Well so much for damage, really I wouldn't consider anyone in or out right now, with only 18 points from last to first, and 9 from first to 13th, this is anything but in the bag for everybody. This should make for a Pocono that may actually be interesting.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 13

Well, an action packed Lowe's is done, but with not all the expected drivers up top. With Harvick in first, and Jimmie all the way down in 28th, this race proved to be anything but predictable. So lets get right to the standings and see who's going home:

PODIUM

1.) Section-               162 (86) (+6) (Way to steal the thunder from Mikeyfan, and he did this w/o his favorite driver, handicap drivers were the way to go this week apparently.)

2.) Mikeyfan-            151 (70) (0) (Another MWR pick paid off! Ahead of Edwards too..only one person is crazy enough to predict that.)

3.) Foreplus-             135 (66) (+8) (Who would have thunk that 66 was a good score...)

NON-PODIUM 125 CLUB

4.) River Rat-            133 (58) (+4)

5.) D2Moo-               128 (44) (-4) (I believe this is the first time where someone went from first to out of the podium...)

100 CLUB

6.) Fogducker-           123 (43) (-3)

7.) Tigersman-          122 (45) (-3)

8.) Sfrye-                  121 (44) (-4)

Floridawhite-              121 (44) (-4)

10.) ILL55INI-            118 (43) (-2)

11.) Berlyn-                117 (42) (-3)

12.) Bored at Work-     116 (69) (+4) (Considering how everyone else did, he got the miracle he needed and then some.)

13.) Spikesgator-        115 (47) (0)

14.) Edwardsfan-         114 (45) (-3)

15.) Roushfenwayguy- 110 (45) (0) (The two most popular drivers didn't add up to much this week.)

CHOKED UP CLUB

16.) Chokin Colts-       99 (31) (-2) (Choked up in a BIG way, and with two of the most dominant drivers this season too... that's Lowe's for ya.)

Well, nobody got the winner of Harvick, he's gotten quite a bit now, so you would think more people would pick him on a weekly basis. Anyways, this week was our worst week to date, worse than Daytona, Talladega, any race... which is just crowned by the poor performance on Chokin Colts this race, which will be leaving us this session.

RFG's Eliminator Game Race 12

Well, Dover sure proved to be more about strategy than a monster, but the monster still did a pretty good job of taking some drivers out of the equation like Kasey Kahne. As for the winner, Matt Kenseth, well only one person was bold enough to go with him, and that is
D2Moo, congratulations, but is it enough to come out top of the standings? Lets see how everyone did:

PODIUM

1.) D2Moo-              84 (This is what happens when you are the only one to pick the winner.)

2.) Mikeyfan-           81 (Wait, a MWR pick actually paid off!?!?!)

3.) Fogducker-         80

NON-PDOIUM 75 CLUB

4.) Tigersman-         77

Floridawhite-            77

Sfrye-                     77 (This is what the most popular duo did in the correct order.)

7.) Section-             76

8.) Berlyn-               75 (This is what the most popular duo did, could have been much better though w/o pit strategy.)

River Rat-                75

ILL55INI-                75

65 CLUB

11.) Foreplus-         69

Edwardsfan-            69

13.) Spikesgator-    68

Chokin Colts-         68

15.) Roushfenwayguy- 65

LIVIN' ON A PRAYER ZONE

16.) Bored at Work- 47 (Kasey Kahne has elimination looming over Bored's door.)

Wow, look at all those ties... 10 of our 14 people have ties, not that people didn't go Edwards Johnson crazy, and for those people, hope you have another plan because those are both great drivers for Lowe's, you can keep one of those two however. As for bored... well, best of luck to him, because at Lowe's anything can happen, but an 18 point gap is pretty large.
