Imagine my surprise when I open the lineup and find Ryan Braun...potential MVP canidate batting 5th with protection by Mike Cameron. WHAT??? You have got to be kidding me. We are talking about a 40 hr 130 rbi guy that is batting .300!! He is in the line up to knock guys in, not bat after the clean-up hitter. Not knocking Prince but the reason his ops is so high is there was nobody protecting him now you are going to throw Ryan to the wolves? Yost needs to find a line-up and stick with it! Has he forgotten the line-up that had the best record in baseball over a 35 game span and the line-up that went 7-o n a road trip? If he is going to tell the media his Peaks and Valleys speech then he should believe in it himself and stick with what was working over the long haul. Corey Hart needs a spot and needs to stay there, personally I like him at 6 or 7 but Yost is the Manager, If I had my say (which I know I never will) this would be my line-up
1. Weeks 2B (or Tony Gwynn Jr. CF)
2. Hardy SS
3. Braun LF
4. Fielder 1B
5. Hall or Branyan 3B (needs at-bats to find HR swing again)
6. Hart RF (can get i done if Hall/Branyan Fail)
7. Cameron CF (Ray Duram 2B if Gwynn Jr. is playing CF)
8. Kendell C (Rivera if Kendell doesn't start hitting soon)
The HR threat of Hall/Branyan offers enough protection for Prince and Hart would still be there to clean up if Braun or Prince gets walked. Hardy has a nice swing but just like last year can not hit consistant power for the 3 hole.
