Week 16 Christmas Eve nail biter!December 19, 2011 2:34 pm
Well we are blessed with the birth of Jesus Christ this week, and possibly the Eagles playoff birth. I know if I had one wish for Christmas I would not waste on the Eagles making the playoffs this year, or would I? I thought this entire year has been more than a let down by the Eagles. After the last 4 months of depressing 4th quarter losses and the inking and noninking of terrible contracts, finally the Eagles looked like a team stomping out the Jets. Even giving up 3 turnovers in the first half, they were still winning. As we are now we are looking for the Jets to bouceback and beat the Giants this weekend. The Eagles to beat them Cowboy's, and then final week 17 Eagles over the Redskins, and the Cowboys over the Giants in the Meadowlands. The chances are slim to none that Eagles actually do make the playoffs here, but at least the fianl two weeks of NFL football will be somewhat entertaining for me and my fellow Eagles fans. Happy Holiday's Bird's fans hopefully were on the nice list and Santa brings us a Lombardi! Category: NFL Birds vs. Fans-End of "Brotherly Love" in Philly?December 4, 2011 3:58 pm
Its' been nearly two days since the birds got beat down on Thursday night football. If philly fans weren't ready to give up their playoff aspirations for this season prior to thursdays game, no doubt Friday morning we were! Honestly, I mean we were watching a professional sports team correct? Anyone sure it wasn't a bunch of high school kids in authentic green jerseys? First, off we know the teams has a plethora of issues to address, but which is the most important? Most people will start at the top with getting rid of Reid...Not me. I'm not really sure how firing the longest tenured coach in the NFL would make them any better. Granted if they were to fire him and hire, lets say a John Gruden or Brian Billick maybe it would have a positive effect, but forget about the coaches for now... change your players on the field...! Jackson (we all realize) is just another diva WR, who happens to sprint pretty damn fast. Other than running fast he's a bum! Offensively other than him, I like the offense and believe it's solid w Vick starting. Yeah sure I could nitpick but theres much more important issues. Contrary to Offense, Defense is another story. It's horrific, unwatchable football to say the least. Simply put a man out there who can make a freaking tackle...thats it!! Granted, I understand open field tackles will be tough with A. Samuel and N. Asomugha, but thats what you sacrifice for their coverage ability. That being said, safeties and L-backers need more than the initial hit on ball carriers, in the words of the Monday Night Countdown crew... "COME ON MAN".....WRAP EM' UP! It baffles me why they spent a second round draft pick, 54th overall, on rookie safety Jaiquawn Jarrett (who is known for his big hits and stong ability to tackle) if the team isn't going to allow him any real playing time! When you talk about big hitters on defense, theses are the "sparkplugs" for good football teams and they provide the type of plays that really fire up the defense as a unit, not to mention it's fantastic entertainment for the average Joe fans. Still don't believe J. Jarrett is the best spark for the Eagles D, you will after watching this perfect tackle he puts on the PSU RB...> http://youtu.be/mnCQkoIZOFg Seriously thats awsome! The Eagles Quarterback's have become the new Flyers Goalie's. Now that the Flyers sured up their net the Eagles are all over the place at QB. The QB situation is by the far the biggest issue with the Eagles. You got left handed qb's right handed qb's, smart to dumb, felons to mormons, it's all over the place. Even their jersey number's are creepy all odd numbers in cosecutive order. Category: NFL Tags: Philadelphia, suck for Luck

Looking pretty sharp are dem IgglesAugust 15, 2011 3:06 pm
With the Maclin situation and the defensive holes, the Eagles still got it done. Vick without either for his two receivers, still managed to find one of the other Green Beast Brent Celek. Ronnie Brown's in town I sense a lot of the Wildcat formation on our horizon, maybe DeSean Jackson plays another snap at quarterback, hopefully not to throw.Really excite dthis team is hype, and lookks Hungry!
