Ducks Will Win!

January 7, 2011 2:00 pm
Edited on: January 7, 2011 2:02 pm

Monday we will finally find out which is the better team.  I don't doubt that Newton is the best single player in the game, but I think Oregon will slow him down enough to win the game.  Oregon presents more problems for Auburn.  Oregon's quarterback is not so bad himself, then you have Oregon's recievers, and then you have Oregon's running game, and what do all of these aspects of Oregon's offense have in common?  Speed!  There are too many people that Auburn has to try to stop.  I don't think they can do it.
If Oregon's defense, which I think is better than Auburns, steps up, Oregon will win.

Bill Walton Was Holiday Bowl Grand Marshall

January 1, 2011 5:18 pm

Basketball Hall Of Famer and commentator Bill Walton was the Holiday Bowl Grand Marshall, not because of any football background but because his basketball legacy began in San Diego as a prep. The Holiday Bowl is played in San Diego. Walton said the Holiday Bowl which pitted Washington vs Nebraska was "not a ponzi scheme bowl". Good luck when you attempt to translate that. Wahington won the Holiday Bowl 19 to 7.

Coach K Passes Smith For 2nd Place All-Time Wins

December 30, 2010 10:59 pm

Mike Krzyzewski (aka Coach K) surpassed his longtime rival Dean Smith to stand alone in 2nd place in all-time men's college basketball victories with his 880th victory of his career. Coach K now trails only Bob Knight, who was his mentor and coach at Army. Knight stands in 1st place with 902 victories, followed by Krzyzewski wit 880, Dean Smith with 879 , Adolph Rupp with 876, and Jim Boeheim with 843 to round out the top 5 in all-time wins.
