Cincinnati Reds Fanatics

Considering our "ace" has only has 3 wins - and us fans cannot get comfortable with Baker's Lineups (how can the players) - we are merely 11 games back of having the "Best Record in Baseball" at the moment. I'm feeling lucky and I feel that (if it could ever happen) once Dusty feels good about a particular lineup and begins to use it consistantly, the players will start to "gel" and put together a couple fo nice runs down the stretch. Our young talent is playing and pitching great - now if we could just get our veterans (specifically Harang, Arroyo, Weathers) to steup up and lead we could have a shot. Just because we are in the basement heading into the break - the season's not lost yet.

I agree with your post for the most part - refering to the pitchers and the Wily Mo trade. However, in regards to the ever-changing lineup - it makes a huge difference. To me, it's like the QB/Center exchange critical. A #2 hitter and a #5 hitter have 2 different agendas - but we constantly see Dunn or Votto in the #2 spot. WHY? They cannot possibly be comfortable in that position and it's reflects in their production (i.e. Harang's run-support) Anyway, I know it's his first season and he's feeling everybody out in different situations and it's still early. If Baker somehow pulls a Wildcard out of his A$$, I think we will have a huge advantage towards the NL Title because of all of his tinkering. Catch 22 becasue it's all of his tinkering that has put us behind the 8Ball to begin with. Go Reds!!!
