BREAKING FANTASY NEWS: A broken pinkie finger will sideline Dallas QB Tony Romo for four weeks, likely rendering him useless for Fantasy owners until Week 11. Brad Johnson will take over for the Cowboys.
A lot of analysts are smirking at the idea of Johnson, 40 years old, taking over for Romo. I'm more optimistic. Johnson doesn't have a cannon for an arm, but he can put some strength into his passes and hit downfield options. He also is a very experienced and very smart quarterback. If you own any Cowboys players outside of Romo, expect a slight drop off but little else. As for Johnson, I think he'll fit in as a good replacement for Romo's owners and also be a good No. 2 Fantasy QB with potential to be a solid starting option as soon as Week 7 when the Cowboys play at St. Louis. That's a matchup that should be good to Johnson. Category: NFL
