It's a shame the NHRA has no love for door slammers. They only seem to care about promoting the overpriced pro series and to Hell with the grass roots sportsman/bracket/outlaw racers.

Now don't get me wrong I like to look at Ashley Force as much as the next guy but the sport is dying from the outside in and the NHRA is doing nothing about it. It is nothing less than a betrayal of the legacy of Wally Parks.

Not ESPN which covers the NHRA, the NHRA itself, or Hot Rod TV are doing anything to grow the sport at the grass roots level. As it stands on Rich Christianson and Speed TV are doing anything to grow the sport.

Here's a bit of good news for grass roots racers. Memphis is set to host the $125,000 mid South Bracket Nationals. Here's the link to the tracks announcement.  http://www.memphismotorsportspark.c

I understand where you are coming from, but its difficult to sit and watch bracket racing after watching the pros go head to head.  Watching the other divisions is just to boring, and doesn't keep my interest. I enjoy seeing the old school looks of the cars, but when one leaves before the other its just isn't racing to me. Drag racing is drag racing, but thats just one's opinion.
