Okay.. I created a thread similar to this earlier in the year and got killed for not explaining what I meant by top 6 programs. I assumed everyone already knew.. guess not.

So let me be clear.. Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA and Indiana are widely considered to be the traditional top 6 programs in college basketball. Of those schools, how would you currently rank their coaches?

I thought it would be interesting to revisit the question considering BCG is out and Cal is in.

IMO, Cuse, Louisville, Mich State, Uconn, Zona are all part of the second teir of programs. I'm only curious about the traditonal top 6.

Not sure.. but I got to watch good ol Roy run his Marquette sqaud with Wade into the ground live in New Orleans before Roy defected. That was one of the best nights of my live (atleast what I can remember of it)

Homer pick. . . I'll take Izzo.

Cal is an unbelievable recruiter but maybe not the best XO guy.

Coach K seems to be in a bit of a slump.

It's a good number to work with because no offense to other great programs like MSU, UConn, Syracuse, etc there is a pretty significant drop off from the top 6 to those next level of teams.

Oh my, people don't get it that there is a Traditional "6"

Why 6? Kind of an odd number, yes, but dang, there is a significant dropoff after "6"...

So you have a traditional six. If you don't get that, you know nothing about College Basketball.

Seriously.

My favorite is when there'd be a "friday" thread making fun of something.. and someone would come in all serious and pissed off, not taking the time to read the thread to see what it was about.
