Walter said that Ansah, Mingo, and Jordan all can play OLB 3-4 because they can drop into coverage real well.

Mingo and Moore, not impressed. Glad to see the UConn kids get some props, Moore and Williams put the work in and it shows. Sio Moore will be an NFL starter, IMHO, and a 3 down player. Werner looks stiff, no thanks. Ansah and Jordan are going to be beasts.

Sorry not pressed with Damontre Moore, Sio Moore is an instinctive player who makes an impact, again I compare him to Daryl Washington. Seems like the 3 pass rushers from LSU and A&M are living off their hype , probably just moved up on Krappers Big "Bored" :) How people still watch ESPN for the draft, is just amazing to me. it's the same old crap every year. Berman knows the top 15 players in the draft, but continues to yell at the monitor until he runs out of wind..... or donuts. McDouche is Kiper Light, not as annoying but less informed. What kills me is they will spend 10 minutes every phuccin' year talking about Brady @ pick199 and miss 2-3 mid round picks, many times a Steelers selection, but never go back to review or update! Total assclowns.

I'm watching Brandon Jenkins and no thank you, the kid doesn't seem prepared, and he is way too stiff and won't be able to drop into coverage, I was sour on Lemonier, but he seems pretty fluid to play OLB for us.

One of the mocks on Walter has the Steelers getting Mingo. Don't like it. I don't see him at 17 and if he is pass. He still has Cooper on the board, who I would much rather take. Same with Sheldon Richardson and Vaccaro.

Unless someone falls I just do not see outside linebacker in the 1st. They seem ready to move forward with Worilds and I think if he stays healthy that is the right decision.

He gives them Wilcox in the 2nd, much better. His return ability will probably have him higher on their boards since right now they literally have no one.

What is the feeling on DeAndre Hopkins? If he is at 48 I think long and hard about pulling the trigger. Big play speed and will probably end up being the better route runner compared to Wallace.

Another guy I like later is Ace Sanders. Small but a big time playmaker that can return.

I saw Zavier Gooden had the fastest 40 time, which is good because it shows off his speed but bad because it will get him noticed now. He's going to be a guy I will be on from here until draft day. Watched every one of his home games in person in 2011 and he had a nose for the ball.

Speaking of former draft favorites, maybe they can sign Corey Lynch Laughing

Sour on LEMONier..... LOL.  I liked him all along, truthfully I was disappointed in what they are saying about Jenkins, but he is still recovering from an injury. The bigger sleeper out of FSU with an injury is Cornelius Carradine. The ILB out of Florida is having a nice combine, Jon Bostic. but I missed him in the drills, so if someone saw him in the drills, LMK.  Another couple of LB's having a good combine are Corneluis Washington and Jamie Collins. The thing is that some of the big names are disappointing and the mid round guys are moving up. They may not catch them, but a smart GM knows if he passes on Minter at the end of round one, that Jon Bostic is still on the board. Speaking of... Minter and Te'o much slower than expected, the thing to look at for me anyhow is the 10 yard split. Who is quick, who can fly to the ball, who is Tomlin's  next Lawrence Timmons?  WEell it won't be a guy we discussed in NOvember, Sean Porter. Either he doesn't have the frame or the ability to bulk up. Conversly Sio Moore and Trevardo Williams pass the eye test,  not like I have not mentioned that before in my homer rants.  I am not sold on Blidi Wreh-Wilson, I need to see the drills tomorrow, I like Jordan Poyer at least a round better.

You can find talent in any round, top talent late in the draft is where teams improve over the reachers and gamblers.  I am finding that past Ansah and Jordan, everyone else we looked at for OLB continues to slide. Jarvis Jones got the thumbs down by a third of the teams for his spinal condition.  Mingo sucks, don't want him, I hope and pray Kenny Vacarro is there at 17. Innocent If not then Sheldon Richardson or Jonathon Cooper. I think Walter is way off the mark, has many really good players well too low.  ANother guy I don't like is Hankins out of Ohio State, he's already a blimp, giving him 25M for all the twinkies he can eat is not a good idea.

Too bad about Star Lotulelei, he was a top 5 pick, waiting for more info on his heart condition, some said it was dehydration, I think there is more to it than that.  Margus Hunt, he measures off the chart, but in the Senior Bowl, he was a ghost, anyone else thinking Mike Mamula?

Couple other random thoughts:

Will Dion Jordan's labrum surgery affect his draft stock? I doubt he misses any time at all so probably not much if at all.

Michael Mauti from PSU sent Colbert a letter. I would love to get him in the 6th or 7th. Sounds like another O'Brein Schofield, injury could mean great value.

Manti Te'o, looked bad at the combine. I just think he is overrated. After the Oklahoma game, where he made an INT that was very much right place right time, he seemed to have a pedestrian finish. I remember against Pitt he was invisible the entire game. I'd consider him at 48 but not at 17.

Agree 100%. If they lose Lewis I would definitely move him to the top or near the top of the 2nd round board.

I think Te'o is a player that is full of excuses, he blamed the poor performance on combine stress, stress can cause fatigue but overall is it going to make you run that much slower.  He brought all of this stress on himself.

-----------------

Funny you mention that - was wathcing some wrap up on NFL Network last night nad Warren POS Sapp was droolin over Hunt and compared him to Mamula... as a combine freak..  indicated Hunt should be a 1-2 round pick..  Did Sapp watch this kid at the senior bowl?   Yeah - he has all the measurables, but that quick muscle stuff just aint there...    Go watch Hunt from the Senior Bowl practices and game..  No thanks....

Why does NFL Network continue to put  clowns like Sapp and others on?  The only reason I watch is Mayock....

The other thing about the Combine (and the Senior Bowl) is they get stuck on a player and you see way to much of them - See Tebow from prior years and now yesterday Teo..  I dont care to watch a slow - over rated - over hyped LB from ND.. over and over and over...

We hardly get shoots of Hodges, Washington,  and others..  show us the drills and ALL the players...

lastly - one shot they had Teo doing a drill and panned to John Harbaugh - he's shakin his head like  - no - we aint drafting this kid... fun stuff...  I'm with ya on this one John - I wouldn't draft him either.

BB, that whole Harbaugh and Te'o thing could've been a big smoke screen too, maybe he knew the cameras were on him.

I saw that NYB, was making a point about the lack of descent coverage on the draft, but as you can see the NFL network isn't that much better, they have stupid programming on when they can go into depth so much more on a lot of prospects. During the combine like you said they focus entirly way too much on the big names, they've been in the spotlight for their entire college careers lets dive into the smaller school kids and examine their tape.

smart kid, get a tat of the team you want to play for, scares away other teams perhaps.

again, all the top pass rushers have question marks. Jordan with the shoulder, Ansah with the limited experience, Jones with the spine, D. Moore, MIngo, and Montgomery with the lackluster numbers at the combine, or the bringing up of bounty gate type stuff, Minter ran slow, Te'o over rated, Ogletree with the DUI, is there a clean LB in round one?

-----------------------

no and are they that much better than kids like Sio Moore?  I think not...  I'd wait..  Round one - go the safe way - Olinemen..  I like Cooper and even Lane Johnson the OT from Oklahoma..  Olinemen have been historically one of the lowest position risk picks round 1 - are there exceptions?  sure see Jamain Stephens...  but overall...

Other option - move back if possible

It's almost a Fuster Cluck in round 2, you have the supposed round 1 players not impressing or having problems, somewhat of a gamble, then you have the round 3 guys that are performing and helping their stock, along with the already projected rd 2 players.

Very few 1st round players actually worth a first round grade, I say find a trade partner and trade out of round 1 and add another 2nd rounder, the possibilities are endless in round 2.

you trade out you get value with picks like bostic, armstead, moore, woods, Patton, cornelious washington, Cyprien.......I think a lot of these guys are great value in 2, if minter fell out of the 1st, same with Ogletree, if we stay in the 1st, I really only see us going OL or Vaccaro at 17. Don't forget the QB logjam in round 2.

I've never seen so many Questions with this group of first rounders ever in a draft.
