Jenkins is the kid from Florida that moved to Northern Alabama, he was a knucklehead and got kicked off the team so he had to transfer there, a la Cliff Harris except he got kicked off in the middle of the year. I can see Cincy or Dallas taking Jenkins, they don't care about backgrounds and they both need corners. I'll pass on both.

What does everyone else think of Tommy Streeter from Miami? 6'5" and he's got some speed. Only problem is lack of experience and not a lot of production but he could be a good 4th or 5th pick if Marvin mcNutt or Brian Quick aren't available.

I'm starting to take a liking to NFL Network's Michelle Beisner. Great set of legs. I wonder how she would test in the horizontal mambo drill. Wink

re. Streeter... he sure is fast and has a long and lanky body that is attribute to have as a receiver.  He's still very raw though, the film i've seen of him only has him running deep routes.  He gets great separation though, most of those catches he made he was at least 4 yards behind the closest defender.  He's probably going to go earlier than the 5th because you know that some team is going to fall in love with the 4.3 he ran.

It's been a couple of days so I may be mis-remembering, but I seem to recall Streeter dropping a few balls and weaving all over the place on his routes.  His measureables are intriguing, but he needs work.  The hands concern me more than the route-running.  Routes can be coached.

But then I could be mis-remembering, so don't quote me.

Walter's football's latest mock draft has D. "What's that rapping at my door?"  Poe going 9th over all to Carolina...  My guess he aint going to be there at #24..  The only other kid in this draft that looks like a true NT is the Kid from U of Washington Ta'amu....  and he has question marks - takes plays off - but when he wants to..  is a very nice NT and may be avail 2nd round...

In the walter's mock draft - he has us taking Aikeem Hicks in the 4th round calling him a NT replacement - at 6'5" 318lbs..  I dont think so - think lack of leverage.   I  like Hicks - very raw - but may develop into a nice 5 technique player - a DE in a 3-4....  a NT?  I think not.

Burgh, totally agree with you. Poe took himself right out of our contention, but that means someone drops. Hicks didn't have a good combine to me. plays too upright, doesn't have any knee bend.

Would love to get the kid out of Cinci for a DE Derek Wolfe, I think his name is........I think he'll make a proto typical 5 Tech in a 3-4.

The film oln Wolfe is not impressive, but he is prototypical 5 tehcnique.

Poe is about gone, BUT that move DeCastro one more spot back, are you listening Monte Hall? If not someone else will fall back. I liked NIck Perry early on, we need to pressure the QB and Farrior is about done, still liking Hightower at 24.

I'm still knee deep in the combine footage, unbelievable how some kids just fell flat and other I've never heard of are litterally popping out of the screen onto my living room floor.

I will say this, I have no problem with the Steelers picking at 24. Colbert would have to completely whiff to eff up this years first round pick.

And if we draft Poe I'm cool with it.

THERE IS JUST ONE IT SEEMS! and what exactly are you right about? that he is a potential headcase? if so im pretty sure most knew that, if he wasnt such an off the field/locker room moron, im pretty sure the desk would be shattered when his name came up.

i really dont like picking at 29, all the real talent seems to slide away by the mid 20's.

Someone actually brought up that drafting Poe would actually be a bad idea for continuity purposes. When all three of the big uglies on your D-line are 1st round picks, there is no way a team can pay them top money for their services. That being said I am also coming to terms with the fact Poe probably won't be there (which still surprises me) but I am leaning toward Hightower. He is a solid player who essentially was in charge of a semi-pro offense and has the leadership and the intangibles to be great. Timmons is never going to be a vocal leader on the field, so maybe Hightower can fulfill that role.

Sorry to rain on the pun-rade (had to say it), but I was amazed to see Walter football's updated draft. He has Poe at 9 to the Panthers, the Steelers taking Hightower, and the Ravens grabbing Mike Adams...2k, what do you think about having someone who's strength is terrible at OT?

I saw the mock already, that and a few other mocks led to the above remark in regards to being screwed at 29.

Mike Adams on tape is not bad at all but i just dont feel we need to go that route at this point nor do i think he is all that good, we have harewood who could be a sleeper star and Jah Reid who will get more reps this year and looked ok when he came in, we have depth at tackle, and i dont see adams kicking inside.

I thought i would take a shot at Barron but he will probably be gone, Floyd is a hard riser, or i would consider him also, Hightower will be gone, i doubt we touch burfict insde of 3 at the least, konz will be gone, so will worthy and curry, maybe not worthy but a bit of a reach there, no Rb;s fit the point at which we pick, same can be said for TE's and CB's- but we dont need more cb depth.

Im almost certain we trade, up or down im not sure, but i think we trade, either up for a konz/hightower/barron pick or back and get in to the early 2nd and see whats there.

if we dont get hightower this year i think we wait till next year hope the kid out of ND has a bad one and pick him up in the first.
