That last post did it for me I am sorry but I have to now completely discount any opinion you have on this matter based on your assesment that Eason was a better QB, the same guy that got yanked from the biggest game of his career and will be forever remembered as one of the biggest busts of that famed quarterback class.

stats don't make you a superstar as a qb.....superbowls do.Really? So Dan Marino. Jim Kelly, Dan Fouts, and Fran Tarkenton (aging myself here so I'll stop) were all a bunch of nothings because they never got the ring? Fouts never even got the opportunity with the Charges but is still considered on of the best...and I HATE San Diego!!

stats don't make you a superstar as a qb.....superbowls do.Mario, Fank Tarkantan, Dan Fouts.......ALL them superbowls between them made them the superstars they were...........Glad we could clear that up......
Stats make the Q.B.............Rings make the team...Anyone with football knowledge realizes that......Guess your football knowledge is a lil lacking huh?

I completely agree. Without the defense which has carried them pretty much through the decade (minus that one year when they got by on the tuck rule) the QB play really hasn't been "great." Good, sure at times. Mediocre most of the time.
And I loved the comment about how patriot fans have his genitalia in their mouths, that was good. I actually live with a patriot fan and one time we were watching their game and just as Brady was about to get sacked he screamed "LOOK OUT TOM!!!" which was immediately followed by thunderous laughter for a good 15 minutes. To this day we make fun of hom for that one with random yelling in public places.

Personally.....I dont think so, and I know I'm going to pull hell and high water for this post, but whatever, its my opinion, take it or leave it.
I have watched quite a few patriot games since his debut for the Patriots and to be frank, I am still not impressed by his playing ability. I have watched him play behind one of the, if not the best line in the league. Along with that, he has had a decent wide receivers corp to throw to most of his time in New England. I don't care how bad the corp may have been, how plagued the patriots have been by injury, to me...none of that matters. You have a Hall of Fame Coach, Belichick, who by the way almost took a quarterback, who hasn't started since high school, to the playoffs. You have a defense that has been a top 10 defense the last, god knows how many years...you now have the one wide receiver that can make any quarterback an elite quarterback. See "Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper."
This coming year, we will have the privilege of watching cassel fail in a Chiefs uniform and make my case stronger against Tom Brady as being a mediocre quarterback who was brought to an elite status because of the system. Being a Packers fan i would know, our two best quarterbacks had the best defense to back them up, Bart Starr and Brett Favre. Anyone else notice when the Packers defense dwindled...so did the championships....
20-30 years down the road, i do not want to hear about who is the best quarterback of all time, or any other position because its just stupid trying to compare "the greatest ________ of all time?" (fill in blank with any position) You just cant compare, Running QBs with Passing QBs, Power Runners to Finesse Runners, Pass Rushing LBs to Coverage LBs.......its just annoying so please bare us the pain and stop with the humiliation....
First off YOUR AN IDOIT!!!!!!!! Secondly this has to be one of the most ridonkulous posts I have ever read and you sir simply dont know your azz from your elbow.. I think as soon as you can extract your head from you bung hole you really need to take a close look at what Brady has done. Brandy and Peyton Manning are BY FAR the 2 best quarter backs of this decade and may end up 1 and 2 of all time? You have to be kiiding and just trying to get a rise out of the Pats fans and even if I was not a Pats fan I would still say YOUR AN IDIOT!!!!

Calm down. I understand you like Brady and you're a Redsox fan and all that, but you need more substance than just talking trash on a memeber who was offering his opinion. I happen to disagree with him, especially since Brady has always played against tougher defenses than Manning. But you need to get a hold of your emotions and try to make a rationala argument. On another note, I find it funny that you said "Brandy" (a girl's name) instead of Brady. (check the transcript) On a third and final note, your av is gorgeous.

Simply put Tom Brady is a Quarterbacking machine, ever since he took over the job,he has earn his spot in the top 50 or 15 has great mechanics ,sees the whole field and leads the team, doesn't get flustered . Also if the gaints didn't get that catch on his helmet , they would have be only the 2nd team to go undefeated

The internet is great for allowing people to openly exhibit their ignorance. Congratulations, you have taken advantage of it. When Brady won his Championships he was not surrounded by great players or a great line or great receivers. He will go down as one of the greatest of all time, and you will still have him rated below Brooks Bollinger.

No spell check and my blood pressue was elevated a bit reading that nonsense. I screwed that one up.
Yes I am a Pats fan but thats not even the issue I would have snapped even if he said that about Peyton Manning.
His entire post was a load of crap (In my opinion) and if he had an ounce of sports knowledge he would not have posted such an idiotic load of garbage?

Still waiting on your opinion. fine you dont agree with me, thats cool. I dont mind.
If someone was to come in here and rag on brett favre I would back him up in what is my opinion but i would not rag on the author. Its their opinion and they are entitled to it. Do i think brett favre is THEE best, no. Do I think he should be in the argument for one of the best, yes. Its going to be tough to argue any position to see who is thee best. Do you go by talent or toughness?

To this day we make fun of him for that one with random yelling in public places. 5 stars on bustin' your buddies chops!! I hung with the biggest Bears fan down in SoCal and when Rex Grossman put up huge numbers one week, followed by a zero QB rating not too far down the road, we were laughing our ass' off.
Of couse we were laughing our collective ass' off, cause my boy is 6'7", has a temper, and loves his boys like I do my Raiders...

Unfortunately, you throw in the "if" factor and that always destroys an argument.

I love listening to fans come and criticize Brady, and then when you ask them what part of his game makes him an average QB they have nothing to say. Simply, because there is nothing to critique. Like Manning, Brady can do it all on the football field, and to say otherwise is just pure bias and ignorance. If the system makes the QB why did Cassel throw 29 less TD's than Brady, more int's, and get sacked 27 more times in less attempts. He played well last year, but it was obvious at times to anyone who watched that he wasn't the same guy. The Pats are and have always been a good team, but throughout it isn't like they were significantly more talented than the other teams in the league. The difference has been Brady.
As far as Peterson is concerned he is an outstanding player, but he is just a runningback. That position holds very little value, and there are a ton of good backs in the league right now. The running game is based upon the line more than anything else. Peterson+Line has been a lethal combo, but he can't be a top 5 player at runningback.

I cant stop laughing at your post lol. you my friend, DEFINE BIAS. look at what you just said..."Peterson+Line has been a lethal combo, but he can't be a top 5 player at runningback." well my friend, you cant play quarterback well without a good line....
Also, like in one of my previous posts, you cant compare Brady of 2007 to Cassel of 2008. Just cant do it because one has the valued experience that the other has none of.

You say you cannot compare the two, yet you are basing part of your arguement on the fact that Cassel was, in your opinion, comparable. Which one is it? You can't have it both ways, either you completely take Cassel out of the equation or you factor in his stats in comparison to Brady's. Honestly, I just want to see you admit in writing, that your whole basis for this entire thread you created is your personal dislike of Tom Brady and all things Patriots and That not for any of the other reasons you have cited is why you feel he isn't, in your opinion, a top 50 player and/or Elite QB. I mean at least if you come out and say that people will still disagree with you, but they will at least have a frame of reference with which to respond to your seemingly illogical point of view, instead of trying to point out stat after stat and citing numerous reasons why he is both a top 50 player and an elite QB only to have you keep asking for more reasons knowing that there are no reasons good enough for you because your mind is already made up based on hatred.

Ya i really, really hate to say it but Tom Brady is very very good. I think he is in the perfect spot...He is awesome under pressure, a good leader, makes all the throws, and has great vision. The ONLY player i believe is better than him is Peyton. That is a whole different arguement though. I also believe that they are head and shoulders above everyone else as far as impact...look who is three..Demarcus Ware???tell me every gm, scout, coach, or owner would not take one of those two if they had the first pick in some fanasy draft with every player in it.
