Hardaway Jr. Commits to Michigan

6' 3"

175 lbs

Tim Hardaway Sr. informed us last night that his son received a Michigan offer. GoBlueWolverine just learned moments ago that he verbally committed to the Maize & Blue.

A nice pick up for the Wolverines.

Huge pick up for the Wolverines. Got pedegree and nice size. Might be the recruit that swings the tide and brings in bigger names. Belin is doing a great job with this program. What a coaching pick up. In 2 years he has turned this program around completely.

He's also the second ESPN top 100 player in this class which really shows that Belein is starting to get us some Blue Chippers. The sky is the limit for teams in the future.

The name alone will attract attention for U-M basketball.  If he's anything like his old man, he will be a terrific addition!

It is true that Belein is bring in good players but it's not like Amaker didn't recruit well. Deshawn Sims, Manny Harris, Dion Harris, Daniel Horton and Brent Petway come to mind. The difference so far is that Belein can actually develope players unlike Amaker where his players look like they got worse the more they played.

Hmmm, didn't Amakers Harvard team beat Michigan? Not taking away anything from Beilin, Amaker would have been a good coach for us,

He had his chance, it didn't workout. I thought his team regressed and possibly quit on him. I would take Beilen over him anyday and it is unfair and rediculous to compare the coaches based on that one game.

Amaker had 6 years to make the NCAA's and could not do it. I like Tommy Amaker, but he was given enough time and could not get the program over the hump. The new coach had them there in 2 years.

Amaker underachieved at Seton Hall, and he underachieved at U-M.  He's a great guy, but he is simply a mediocre coach.  He has been riding the coat-tails of his Duke ties to make everyone think he's a good coach.  KO Blue is right - he had his chance, and Beilein got them further in two years then Amaker could in six years.  Let's move forward with Beilein.
