i see alot of hate here for JCIts not hate its FRUSTRATION i hate terrel ownes and mike vick im FRUSTRATED with Jason Campbell there is a differance. You can lie to yourself if you want but this guy does not play like a 5 year vet.

i hate this alleged conspiaracy theory get up as well.  i doubt jim zorn  will allow himself to lose his job over some blind faith in JC .Its not a conspiarcy theory, its a fact that one of the BIG reasons jim zorn was hired was to coach campbell up to play like a big time QB and justify why we moved up in the draft to get him. Jim zorn is a self proclaimed QB GURU and his huge EGO will prevent him from making the switch. Any coach who benches your best offensive player{portis}  in a game vs the worst team{detroit} in the league where your trailing defintly has a MONSTER EGO. Strarting colt brennen at any point this season is a VERY risky move for zorn. Colt is the kind of QB who can make a coach look like a genious or a absoulte fool with his gun slinger style. The same way alot of people blame zorn for campbells lack of shots downfield we would ALL be blaming zorn for Colts interceptions when he slinging the ball around. You tell me which is the safer play for a 2nd year head coach?

why cant the coltist simply have patience in thier own  guy and take off the rainbow warrior  rose colored glasses  and see he just needs a little more time  ?First off im not from hawaii nor am i fan of hawaii s program {GO CANES} BUT i KNOW TALENT when i see it.As far as colt needing a little morre time, time for what? Its been 2 years since surgery so the guy is 100% healthy he has had the same time campbell and todd have had to learn the playbook, Take a look around the league guys like flacco, ryan, DeSean Jackson and many others all came in right away and helped there teams. Like cooley said in a interview I know teams are very considerate about a player's psyche, but if a quarterback can't handle the scrutiny of throwing a pick in his first season, how is he going to handle it throughout his career? Might as well find out.
we dont need a great qb to go to a superbowl.  i can shell out a host of avg qb's who went to superbowls . but lets just start with our guys , billy kilmer , joe thiesman, doug wiilliams and mark rypien  wont ever be confused with all time greats .
True but do you want a one hit WONDER raven or buc teams that win the superbowl and then struggle the following seasons alawya searching for the "next" qb. In order to win a superbowl with meidocre qb s you need perfect conditions and those conditions rarerly carry over to the following season whether it be due to injury or free agency. With a franchise QB you are a THREAT every season regardless of injury or free agency. Comparing redskin teams of past with rypien, williams thiesman to todays game hold little weight. There is this little thing called free agency which makes it next to imposiable to create those dynasty teams of past. The game has changed and the era of meidocre qb s leading dynasty teams is gone.

if ownership thought breannan could step in and be the answer then why make a run at sanchez and cutler ? You should already know that answer to that one with endless amount of mistakes this front office has made in the past. There track record when it comes to judging talent is not the BEST .

i am willing to say that i think JC will throw for about 25 tds and have 15 picks . i think we will avg 21-24 points per game  and the defense  will be a top flight unit.
So in your opinion we are going to the nfc championship game this year? Those are probowl quality numbers you have projected for JC and i agree our defense will be top 5 . Lets see probowl QB +PROBOWL RUNNING BACK + TOP 5 DEFENSE = C H A M P I O N  SH I P Surprised
i hope your right

25 tds and 15 picks arent overwhelming numbers  i have said nothing of nfc championship games . i think we will compete for a playoff spot.  and please it is hardly fact about the conspiracy theory bs . the front office is in the business of winning football games  not saving face. why shop JC if you are concerned about saving face or your ego wont allow you to dump JC ?  zorn was a professional qb  with a solid career. he also helped develope matt hasselback.  what he saw in JC was  that he offered him the best chance to win right away .  as for different eras , just what does that have to do with the talent of those players ? they were avg qb's  at best . talent wise they were good player .  from the kilmer led team there was what one hof'er ? riggins  was the only hof er who played in that game . the other 2 had like what 2 hofer ?  so that pretty much ends the dynasty /talent thoery. it took JC a few years to develope at auburn but he was mvp  of that conference  the sec . as for colt  if you cant determine that he was playing vs  3rd and 4th team vanilla defenses  and that he may not be ready yet then your hate / frustration has blinded you

25 tds and 15 picks arent overwhelming numbers  i have said nothing of nfc championship games LOL we went 8-8 with jason throwing a PATHETIC 13 td s last year. Add 12 td s to last season and you come up with about 4 to 5 more wins. Sure there was plenty of QB s last year who put up those kind of numbers and finished .500 but NONE had the defense we do. Some blame the oline, some zorn, some campbell, some the wide recievers BUT WE ALL AGREE our passing game is the weakest link on this team preventing us from competing for a division title. When you project those kind of numbers for JC you are in a sense saying we will be a GREAT team this year . Your not going to have a .500 team with a top 5 defense a 1400+ running back and a qb who throws for 25 td s just do the math it dosnt make sense.

as for different eras , just what does that have to do with the talent of those players ? they were avg qb's  at best . talent wise they were good player .  When you look at williams and rypiens team they basicly had the same  key players together for all those years the QB like alot of other teams at the time QB was a interchangeable part. The posse and And most of our stars on defense remained the same from 87-91 or the HOGS from 82-87. You think in this day and age with free agency we would have been able to keep the posee in tact or the hogs, You really believe sanders monk or clark wouldnt have went elsewhere with huge contracts bieing thrown there way? Please dont compare mark rypien or doug williams talent with Jason Campbell. Those guys were winners who shined in the BIG games. Jason campbell on his best day vs the worst team could never perform like either of those guys did in the biggest games of there career. Joey t kilmer and jurgeson were all GREAT QB s so please just stop.

so that pretty much ends the dynasty /talent thoeryThe Redskins were a dynasty team in the 80 s . The hogs the posse, mann and manley darrell green and a never ending line of bruising running backs who pounded defenses with the COUNTER TREY.We were a dynasty not in the convential joe montana jerry rice sense but the team remained the same much like the Giants were a dynasty with there defense

it took JC a few years to develope at auburn but he was mvp  of that conference  the sec .
And he played with 2 OF THE BEST RUNNING BACKS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. JC didnt prove jack sh*T in his college career , like jamurcus russell  he was a product of the talent around him. This is why where a guy played college ball holds little weight. Guys who play for BIG NAME schools have the advantage of playing with TOP quality talent while guys who play for inferior college programs play with sub par talent. I could sit here and name you a 50+ GREAT players who played for sub par colleges and made it big in the nfl but i doubt im going to change your mind. Ill let colt do the talking for me this summer when he ONCE again makes jason campbell look like a amuater at best.

Lets see...JC is black, Obama is President. Therefore, he is under more pressure this year than previous seasons. I can't believe no one has thought of this excuse yet. Jeez, you guys who make up countless excuses for JC are slacking big time!

how many years does a number one pick need to?
cambell basically played half (7 games) the entire season of '06...
he played 3/4 (13 games) of the season '07...
and he played all 16 games last year '08.
thats a total of 36 games.
regardless of the coaching changes,
those coaching changes has nothing to do "with his decisions of where and to" who he is passing the ball to.  all of that is based on reading coverages and at times just instinct.  its all based on his way of thinking and decision making.  to say that campbell is the man for the Redskins because he "has the arm to throw deep" or because "he was a first rounder that came from a powerful SEC conference is bogus...
campbell is not the right guy for a passing offense like the WCO...the skins need a QB that is a good passer and makes quick and correct reads atleast the majority of the time, doesnt have to be perfect, but be better than what JC has shown in 36 games.

maybe Colt Brennan is the right QB for the skins at this time.  oh, brennan hasnt shown anything in a real nfl game, but he has the right combination of atitude, moxy, spunk, desire, accuracy, etc...that would fit well with zorns offense.  oh wait, some of you will say he played in the WAC, that the WAC is not in the same league as the power conferences, so all of his passing numbers dont mean anything to those skeptics.

but guess who else played in the WAC?  so did marshall faulk.  he dominated the WAC and he pretty much did the same thing in the nfl against the best of the best.  and so did ladamian tomlinson, he tore up the WAC and he pretty much did the same thing that marshall faulk did in the nfl.  there's just as many undrafted and later round draft QBs that are as successful or unsuccessful as the the heisman winner and/or first to second round drafted qb's.

tim tebow may be a first round draft qb, but i dont think he'll be a successful nfl qb, thats my hunch, and my hunch on past first and second round drafter qbs has been on the spot more than most nfl analyst that does teh draft shows...funny how these experts over value the conference that these qb's play in, but come nfl careers, you wont hear most of these names ever.

i am not a Redskins fan but Jason Campbell was not put on the right team.  First off if your looking to get a franchise quarterback you dont get a qb with the 20 somethin pick, you trade up.  You also dont get an older player if you are trying to develop him because he should be at his prime at this age if they wanted him for many years and he is no where near what he should be.  I honestly dont think he will be succesful in the nfl, he can blame it on the offensive playbook but that doesnt read defenses differently or make better decisions, thats on you as the quarterback.

So true. There comes a point where you have to say IT is What it IS. Campbell unfortuantly has reached his peak , The guy has had 3 seasons under his belt and yet some believe he is going to come out this year like the second coming of joe montana. As skins fans we detroyed mark brunnell in 06 but lets compare his 06 season vs jasons 08

Jason Campbell '08..........Mark Brunell '06
62.3% 3245 yards...........62.3% 3180 yards
13 td 6 int 84.3 rate........14 td 7 int 86.5 rate ....

Those numbers are scary CLOSE why did 99% of the fan base run mark out of town but for jason there is a 60/40 split?Yell Is it because jason is a black QB? Is it because some fans are having a hard time accepting the fact he is a FIRST ROUND BUST? Are some people DILLUSIONAL enough to believe his second year in zorns system will increase his production by 50%?

This is jasons 5th season. He is no longer a rookie and now a VET, 13 td s will not be acceptable this season.
