Yikes...great move by LA, and it just makes them even tougher for the rest of the league. It really looks like Kobe and Phil will be getting another ring next year at this point.
WHy would the Lakers be willing to pay Artest but not pay Ariza? I just dont get it for the Lakers its hurting team chemistry and think about how Artest and Kobe got into it during the playoffs. It leaves the door open for Ariza to go play with Cleveland and give them a better shot at winning the championship. I guess itll all be okay for the Lakers if they sign Odem.. and if they dont.. i dont even wana think about that lol
What a great aquisition for the Lakers, now they just need a few key pieces off the bench. Birdman anderson is a great backup to have if the lakers can pick up his contract, but he likes Denver. I would still like to see them seep in and land Jason Kidd or go out and get Andre Miller. Lakers need a good signing and maybe a sign and trade with Odom
Very good move if Artest goes to the Lakers. Ariza is a bonafied talent. If he goes to another team, Artest coming in town will still keep the Lakers the best in the west. His ability to score in the low post and take a jumper when need be. Running the court with Fisher , Kobe, and Lamar. The Lakers will be a force to contend with.
Are you guys seriously taking Ken Berger and Ron Artest 's word on this? Until the Lakers report it, it's nothing more than a bargaining tool to drive Artest's price up.
Yet if ESPN had reported this I bet you'd be accepting its truth. CBS hardly ever misses on breaking news headlines. And by hardly ever, I mean I can't recall one instance in which they have
