Here's the top ten cornerbacks in the NFL: 1. Nnamdi Asomugha-Oakland Raiders The best corner in the NFL. Plays at a level that not many can every sunday. Quarterbacks don't even bother to look to his side. 2. Champ Bailey-Denver Broncos Arguably the best corner of the millenium. Plays the run well, and is great in coverage. 3. Charles Woodson-Green Bay Packers Even though he is getting older, he hasn't lost much since he's been in the league. Has a nack of forcing turnovers. 4. Darrelle Revis-New York Jets Entering his third season, he's already established himself as one of the best cover corners in the league. Should be a solid player for the Jets for years to come. 5. Terence Newman-Dallas Cowboys If he stayed healthy, he could probably be in the top 3. He's a speedster with great cover skills. He had four picks in only ten game last year. 6. Antoine Winfield-Minnesota Vikings Hands down the best tackling corner in the NFL. 95 tackles in one season for a corner? Very rare to see. Great at blowing up run plays in the backfield. Isn't great in coverage, but is solid and consistent. 7. Cortland Finnegan-Tennesse Titans Plays with a lot of emotion. Very good in both coverage and in stopping the run. Likes to talk a lot, but he can back it up with his play. Very fun to watch him play. 8. Asante Samuel-Philadelphia Eagles Samuel is great in zone coverage, and not that bad in man to man. He doesn't have great size, but he won't back down from bigger receivers. 9. Rashean Mathis-Jacksonville Jaguars He's the definition of a ball hawk who knows how to get to the end zone if he has the ball. A weak tackler, but a good cover guy. 10. Sheldon Brown-Philadelphia Eagles He is a very hard hitter for a corner, and has the size of a safety. He plays at a good level every sunday. Good in coverage and has played in 112 straight games, which is unheard of for NFL players. Honerable Mention: Leon Hall (Bengals), Nate Clements (49ers), Cedric Griffin (Vikings), Al Harris (Packers), Antonio Cromartie (Chargers), Quentin Jammer (Chargers), Marcus Trufant (Seahawks), Ronde Barber (Buccaneers), Carlos Rogers (Redskins), Corey Webster (Giants), Charles Tillman (Bears), Brian Williams (Jaguars)
