I would have to say the last 2 or 3, cant quite remember, were unearned runs.  Anyone looking at that Ibanez play would tell you he could have caught it.  His arm isnt fully extended and it hit of the back of his glove.  If anyone but A-Rod was up they would have called it an error.  Much like A-Rod's fielding woes in one of the games was labeled a hit instead of an error.

I guess the fact that Willy Mays would have caught A-Rod's double means the ball wasn't smoked.

IF the Phillies make it to game 7...and IF they make it through the 6th inning of game 7...that's where you'll see Lee.  He can get the last 9 outs on 2 days rest.

By the 7th inning, I suspect the horses would be well out of the barn, caught by a rogue rustler, and processed into glue.

Come on guys, the Yankees are an older team with most of their stars past their prime............but glue?
This is a proud team and shouldn't be processed into glue. They deserve better.

Whoever still wants to see Hamels on the mound again needs a reality check.  It's over for him.  You have to accept it...he's done in Philly or at least philly is done with him.  The manager has to do whats best for the team and just having that junkie in the clubhouse is poison.

The people who are done with him are the people like yourself who are taking his comment which was taken entirely out of context and blowing it up into nothing.  Interesting you brought up the manager...I guess you missed his comments in the papers today about his meeting with cole after game 5 where he said he said he has coles back and that he is one of the toughest guys this team has...but hey I am sure management is going to just give up on a guy who at 25 has done what he has done.  Glad you aren't running this team (we'd be in a world of hurt).

I guess the fact that Willy Mays would have caught A-Rod's double means the ball wasn't smoked. If Ibanez got his glove on it then Willy Mays would have been able to circle around it and catch it behind his back.  Ibanez is a below average defensive outfielder and still should have made that play...him and Matt Stairs are the only 2 guys who can play the outfield on that team that can't make that play.  As for the ball getting smoked...the Phillies smoked a boatload of C.C. pitches in both games that turned into outs...i expect we will see a lot of balls from both teams in the game tonight smoked that turn into outs as well...and we will probably see a blooper or two (or 4 which seems to be the Yankees calling card in games they win) find holes to land in.

That ball wasn't hit hard either, was it?
Wink

Maybe he should take some lessons from Bret Gardner on how to make those type of catches.

Are we supposed to believe he'll be worth anything on 2 days rest the third time around in the Bronx? Anything can happen man. Remember '04?

"WHO'S YOUR DADDY?".... Pedro.
