Finally, it's time to forget about the sorry state of our football program and get back to the good stuff, Hoosiers Basketball.  Lots of questions going into the season but first and foremost, who will Coach Crean select as the starters for tonight's game against Grace?  There has been a lot of chatter about the players' performance over the summer and the potential of the Frosh.  Also, there are some injury concerns to consider.  Plus, we all know that regardless of who starts tonight we'll probably see a totally different line up next week against Howard.  The variables are endless but, from the list below, who will be on the court at tip-off this evening?

Kory Barnett

Bobby Capobianco

Maurice Creek

Devan Dumes

Derek Elston

Brett Finkelmeier

Steven Gambles

Jordan Hulls

Tijan Jobe

Verdell Jones III

Daniel Moore

Bawa Muniru

Tom Pritchard

Jeremiah Rivers

Matt Roth

Christian Watford

My money is on Pritchard in the middle with Watford and Creek, VJ III on the wing and Hulls at the point.  Granted Rivers WILL start next week but I expect him to sit tonight to get well.  Thoughts?

nice post!  I live in B-town and I guess Capo has been a beast, better than expected.  I am not too postive Muniru will get cleared but he just a little better than Jobe, not that good!  Creek is a GEM!  You will love this kid.  He is the only one on the team that can take a game over.  Hope this is a great year. Roth and Jones have put on 20 plus pounds.  I have 2 tickets for tonight and Monday and cannot make either...

take care

True, no tv but they are available on the Big Ten Network online for $2.50.  That's some nickel and dime BS but it's better than nothing.  also, does anyone know if there will be single game tickets to the general public?  i saw that there were still some season tickets and the 5-game series tickets but i haven't seen anything else.
finally, about the roster, i know Dumes and Roth have minor injuries of some sort as well as Finkel-hiemer and Rivers.  word is rivers could play but i would be surprised if Crean risked his health for a exhibition game.  regardless, i cannot wait to see Rivers at the point with VJIII and Creek on the wings.  that has the potential to be a very dynamic back court.  not quite 1993 quality but definetly good enough for the top half of the big 11.  if they go with a 4 guard lineup and add dumes at wing and move creek to the post they could be awesome in the open court and motion offense.  deuce is very excited.  the front court is a little scary with the lack of quality size (> or = 6'9") but it has to be better than last year.  with pritchard in the middle and either elston or watford in the other spot they should have a good front court by the end of this season or next.  i'm just looking for a break even option when comparing the Hoosiers bigs to the opponents.  if that's the case i could see 12-15 wins becuase i think their back court will be better than most.  and Capo, i live in ohio and he is a legendary grinder in the cincy area.  he dominated against smaller talent but he appears to have the size to hold his own (sts) off the bench this sesaon defensively.  again, very excited.  Go IU!!!

PS: hope those nutty students break out the gorilla costumes for tomorrow's game.  i never did that in my years at IU and now i wish i had.  Those mardi gras-esque shenanigans were great to see on the big screen last year.  one word, excited.
