Let me first congradulate your team on a great season and for winning the 2009 World Series. Your team was clearly the best all year and you guys showed it during the playoffs. Next I'm not going to get into all this BS about buying a Championship. CC,Tex,and Burnett played great all year and showed why they were the top 3 free agents in baseball last year. Finally it looks like ARod got the monkey off his back because he put up monster numbers in the playoffs.

Again congrats on a wonderful year and hopefully the Red Sox can do better next year.

Now do you guys sign Matsui or Damon for next season?

I also think MO should have won the MVP but Matsui was a moster last night(6RBI's)

Way to be classy my friend.
If I had my choice, I would give Damon a one year deal
Maybe 1 for 10
The Yankees on their roster do not have a good enough 5 hitter to back up A-Rod.........I would bring Matsui back too.
Because really, I dont want to hear all the crap we would get if we won the World Series, and got Holliday to play LF

If I had my choice, I would trade Cano and a few prospects for a good young pitcher or OF
How about Cano and Austin Jackson for Matt Kemp?
I also wouldn't mind trading for a catcher..........Kurt Sasuki or the best Molina, Yadier

Cano is way to valuablre for you guys to trade. He put up great numbers this season except with runners in scoring position. No way I would trade him

Two out of 3 ain't bad...in baseball, it'll get you in the hall of fame.  In your case, it will give you bad teeth (tooth) and a dull knife.

Yep, congratulations to the team that was clearly the best in the entire league.  We'll see you guys again in April.  I hope the Sox realize that they've got some serious ground to make up...

Why is Cano so valuable?
He is a bully hitter who never dives for a ball, or hits well in the clutch.
Did I mention he is our 7th hitter?
Do you know why he got 200 hits out of the 7 hole?  Cause he never walks!
He is fundamentally flawed.
The Dodgers need a shakeup, and they are too right-handed........plus Torre and Bowa are there
Seems like a good fit to me!
Getting Kemp not only ends the Melky/Gardner CF........putting Kemp in the 2 hole or 5 hole makes him very valuable

Kemp is terrible hes the same as Cano. All he does is strikeout in big spots.Theyre both good players but would both do better on the Royals or Pirates they cant handle the pressure.

I don't see Boras letting Damon sign a 1 year deal at this point in his career.  I think you keep Matsui to be the DH when Posada is catching, but he wants/thinks he can still play the field whcih i personally think is doubtful.

why do the Yankees need a catcher?  The catcher of the present is Jorge Posada, and the catcher of the future is Jesus Montero.

"Hitting in the clutch" is an overrated stat based on too small a sample size for statistical significance.  People said A-Rod couldn't do it not to long ago either.  I have no problem with CAno.  He's a terrific fielder, rarely gets hurt, and is a great guy to have for the grind of the regular season.  Grant it, if the team got Matt Kemp for him and prospects, that would be a worthwhile trade, but there's nothing wrong with Cano starting at 2B at his current salary.

remember too, 2b is one of the lightest-hitting positions in baseball.
