Dear Jake Plummer,

I believe I can speak for the entire city of Denver when I say that we offer you a deep and sincere apology. All we did was bash you the entire time you were in Denver, and all you did was lead us to the AFC Championship game. We have not even been to the playoffs ever since.

Sure, Cutler had a cannon. But he did not get us to the playoffs. Sure, Orton got us off to an awesome 6-0 start, but now he can't even get more than 2 first downs in the second half against Pittsburgh.

I as well as everyone else misses you and your nasty beard/mustache Jake. We also miss your gnarly left handed passes, as well as your gestures to the crowd. We know you were just being playful. Most of all, we miss your winning ways. Please come back to Denver and lead us to the promised land Mr. Plummer.

Love,
Denver, Colorado

You mean the same Jake Plummer who also threw away that very same AFC Championship game to the Steelers?

You should extend this letter to Terrell Davis, Quentin Griffin, Tatum Bell, Mike Bell, Reuben Droughns, Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson, and Clinton Portis.

The letter should start off like this..."Dear great denver runningbacks, we are sorry we got rid of all of you. We thought "No-show Moreno" was a good running back and do wonders for us. We even said he'd be the OROY...well here in Denver marijuana is legal, and it has made us dumber. Our run game is awful and our only other option is to sign new FA Larry Johnson. Josh McDaniels says he can straighten L.J. out and he'll no longer beat women or use gay slurs."

Yours Truly,
Disillusioned Broncos fans

colwolverine........

You are about as gutless of a trash talker as I have ever seen on these boards. The Broncos start out 6-0 and there is NOT ONE PEEP FROM YOU......

Now they lose....and here you are.........

What little credibility you ever had is GONE.

BroncoInCali, did you ever think that maybe I work on Sundays and don't get to see Denver play? For once, I get to watch the Broncos play a game and they suck. Their is my credibility.

What credibility do you broncos fans have? 75% of you hated Josh McDaniels until about week 3 of the regular season...I know this because I live in Colorado. It must be nice to jump on and off the bandwagon...

If we had Plummer, Brandon Marshall's numbers would be way off the charts

And.... we would have more than 10 offensive points over the last two games. Just saying

The 6-0 start was a result of great defense, with a few timely offensive scores. Once other teams start putting up points, Orton's play goes down the crapper.

BroncoInCali, did you ever think that maybe I work on Sundays and don't get to see Denver play?

No...sorry man, that didn't occur to me. Sorry you missed that Monday Nighter where we stomped the Chargers.......funny, you must've been busy that night too.

What credibility do you Broncos fans have? 75% of you hated Josh McDaniels until about week 3 of the regular season...

I agree with you there....but where you are wrong is when you place me in that group. I am still being conservative about this team....good defense....offense needs help.

It must be nice to jump on and off the bandwagon...

Nice try pal.....I'll be here win or lose.

All that being said.......

Orton better show improvement soon cause I don't want to see this Broncos defense going to waste with a terrible offense......

I did see the game against the S.D. Chargers and as I've pointed out on an earlier thread. It's easy to beat a team that has a starting RB that can't break a 3-yard run, and their only hope is a mighty midget who makes a big play every now and then.

Then you compare that to the most overrated Linebacker in the league, who makes a happy dance whenever he gets a coverage sack.

You should extend this letter to Terrell Davis, Quentin Griffin, Tatum Bell, Mike Bell , Reuben Droughns, Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson, and Clinton Portis . And, pray tell, what did any of these guys outside of Clinton Portis and (to an extent) Mike Bell do once they left Denver?  I do believe a couple of these guys had at best one great year after leaving Denver.  That was one of the strong points of the Shanahan era in Denver: make average-at-best running backs look like superstars, then see what can be obtained for them.

I'm mostly just here admiring how much hate the Broncos get for some reason.

Tallwhiteninja, I'm just saying that Denver fans act like Kyle Orton and Jay Cutler were the problems.

I'm just saying...look at the running game.

BTW, when Reuben Droughns left he became the first Cleveland running back in over a decade to break 1,000 yards...and then he went on to help the Giants build their SB team.

It's funny colwolverine.......we agree. You just have a more colorful way of saying about the Broncos....until the running game is fixed we will go nowhere.

BroncoinCali, Yes I'm a reasonable person about 30% of the time. Seriously, make Corrall Buckhalter the #1 back, and then make Peyton Hillis the #2.

I completly agree about Plummer....Plummer took us to the AFC championship game with average WR's. a ok RB duo and a Solid D.

Plummer would make us a superbowl contender now with our great WR's, Oline(once harris comes back its great) and a Solid Rb Duo. Plus now he would've had a GREAT D to protect him.

Man.........I blame shanny.....Hes the one who drafted that douche(Cutler)
