Chris Paul has already begun expressing his displeasure with the team's lack of an identity. I mean Scott or Paul? I think we all know who ownership will side with...
Bk, there is no point of firing Scott in-season. With the players we currently have, we'll flutter around .500 regardless of who coaches. He only has one year on his contract. Let him walk after the season's end.
BTW, Hilton Armstrong can very well be the worst player in the NBA. Just saying..
Haha yes thats it kid. Alright maybe more popish. But still they played it on the Boston Rap/Hip-Hop station Jam'N 94.5, back in the 90's.
Give me a break, Im a little embarassed its Dru Hill but this song was TIGHT back in the day. Man throwback 90's jump-off, miss those days. Tank if I could kiss you right now I would. You have no idea how long I've been trying to find this song since I heard it. CHEA BOY!
What was it that clued you to it as obviously the words I thought it said were wrong. Was it the words + Sisqo reference. Man, this shit****s gonna be on repeat for days. Haha. Home my southern roommate f***s with that throwback 90's stuff. Otherwise he's gonna hate me.
It's kind of aggravating because you don't really know who or what to blame. I don't want to blame Byron Scott but the team's not giving much effort. I don't want to bash David West but he looks lazy and is terribly unproductive. Speaking of terribly unproductive, I like Peja Stojakovic but they're paying "that guy" 15 million dollars? I don't want to bash James Posey but he's the championship intangible?
This team still has 7 new players so I'm really holding out hope but it's whatever at this point. I'll never abandon the squad and I'll always cheer for them but their EFFORT is what bothers me the most. Even that AWFUL 2004-2005 season was watchable because it was a group of guys that wanted to win. I'm not saying these guys don't, but they just do not try on defense. It's bad. The Suns are not THAT good. And don't let Chris Paul off the hook. His defense on Steve Nash was bad tonight.
All in all, at the beginning of the season I expected a playoff birth and a first round exit for the team. That's still extremely likely to happen so is it reasonable for me to get that upset about this sluggish start? And if it's not, why am I so angry everytime I watch them?
The Hornets are struggling. I did expect this to be a blowout and it was. The Suns are hot and rejuvinated. Their bench is playing great and they have great chemistry. Good thing they wrapped this one up early because its back on the road to face the Lakers.
I don't want to blame Byron Scott but the team's not giving much effort.Thats one of the more surprising things so far.Its always seemed like his players enjoyed playing for him. He seemed to be a great player's coach. Not it just seems like he's lost that team.
don't want to bash David West but he looks lazy and is terribly unproductive. I know you werent thrilled when I said I thought the 07' season was looking more and more like a fluke. But this guy has REGRESSED big time. I remember when people including myself were touting him as one of the new great forwards in the West.
Speaking of terribly unproductive, I like Peja Stojakovic but they're paying "that guy" 15 million dollars?Has to be one of the worst contracts in the league right now.
I'm not saying these guys don't, but they just do not try on defense. It's bad.Suns had a lay-up drill tonight. Its almost as if they took over our defensive identity tonight.
The Suns are not THAT good. We're better than a lot of people think.
All in all, at the beginning of the season I expected a playoff birth and a first round exit for the team. That's still extremely likely to happen so is it reasonable for me to get that upset about this sluggish start? And if it's not, why am I so angry everytime I watch them? Idk. I had them as the 5 seed coming in. Thought they'd rebound from a below standard season last year and thought getting Okafor was a great move. Its early, but they look lost. Dont see them as a playoff team if they dont make a trade or drop Scott.
Some things to thin kabout... first off, David West was looking bust bound prior to 2007, the thought was that Paul made him better, and maybe he did for a bit, but....
Another thing to consider, Larry Brown was not an Emeka Okafor fan. Why? Because his man defense is bad, bad, bad.
I still like David West for this team and feel that if he were the third option on the squad they'd be a much more viable contender. However, and I don't know if it's because he's gotten lazy or if he never recovered from that back injury or what, but he does not take it down to the low post anymore. That play at the start of the game where he took it to the basket and scored around the rim, that was a regular move that he used in 2008. The Hornets were able to take some pressure off of Chris Paul and run isolation for West. I think teams have figured out ways to stop him, but he simply does not take it to the basket anymore. He basically just does not play in the paint. I think that's the big reason for his regression.
The Suns are not THAT good.Yes right now they are!!!!!!!! 8-1 through 9 games. the first team ever to make over 100 3's in the first 9 games. they are the only team to put up over 100 pts on boston so far and gave them their only lose. the suns 1 and only loss came to the Magic on the 2nd game in as many nights after having to battle it out til the end the night before with miami.
Just to clarify for the sensitive fans, the Suns were shooting 60 percent for three quarters and getting wide open threes. That's a bi product of the offensive system, sure, but it also had to do with some horrendous Hornets defense. That's what I meant by "the Suns are not that good." I still think they're good but the Hornets made them look perfect last night.
