Staff didn't win us the game, but I like his performance following a 5 pick game last week. If our receivers could catch a ball his numbers would look much better. I counted at least 7 drops that were all very catch-able balls.

I agree Yooper. As hard as it is to lose (and believe me we all know) what does he expect? He had to know this season would be tough. As the announcers said with

you got it right tp.  Staff played a decent game even though he got his butt kicked all day.  There was way too many dropped balls and stupid penalties.  The Vikings played like crap too which kept them in it but the Lions made their share of plays too.  Even though I'm mad a hell right now I guess this was about what I expected.  I expected to see them at lease be competitive, which they were.  They just got beat by a much better team.  We all knew the Lions were bad so a competitive half of football is acceptable.  What is not though is the drops.  I can't stand that crap.  High Schoolers get benched for dropping passes.  And CJ with his "poor me" hanging head is sickening.  I hope I'm wrong but I can see it in his mannorisms.  He's developing into a crybaby.

oops. As I was saying Matt and Calvin have not had a chance to get on the same page. In a game like todays one dropped pass kills because of all of the pressure we can not afford to let our few opportunities go. Calvin hopefully will be ok. Today he learns that people have off days but acting how he did last week is not the answer. Also are the coaches trying to get him killed? They keep running that take 1 step and throw to Calvin it has not worked all year. Until we show that we can throw the ball deep short stuff especially that short will not be sucessful.

1. The Vikings were 2/6 in the Red Zone.
2. Matthew Stafford didn't throw any interceptions.
3. Jason Hanson didn't score the most for the Lions with 4 points.

"Staff didn't win us the game "

We didn't win period.  Stafford could've had 250+ yards and could've had 2 tds instead of 1.  Bryant Johnson missed a perfect pass for a td near the end of the half.

As long as he improves that's a good sign. WR really need to stop dropping balls.
