They should let him slide this time.. obviously these "performance enhancing" drugs didn't enhance his ability to catch the ball. Performance enhancing blahaha ahahah ahhahah It figures just as soon as we get a little consistency within our wide receiver ranks bammmm off ya go. This is defenitely an area of need in the offseason.. Why not try and get Anquin Boldin or another top tier reciever via free agency?
Lets see what happens to Matt Cassel completion percentage now that Bowe won't drop any passes this week. My only worry is he will the Broncos and Bills games at home, with Kyle Ortons injury both of these were looking winnable.
I heard this just minutes after I was celebrating the announcement of Zack Greinke as the Cy Young award winner. Turns out to be only a bittersweet day in Kansas City now.
So sad to hear of another athlete putting himself in this position. However, I agree with Dime, the other receivers for the Chiefs will have the opportunity to receive additional playing time.
SOS, that's funny, and sad but true.....Matt Cassell may be the one benefiting. Incentive clauses !
Man, this sucks! He's havin some trouble catchin balls lately, but quite frankly is our best offensive weapon! Hopefully Long steps up and contributes. Sad Sad day for Chiefs fans. I guess the league couldn't let us celebrate the W for more than 1 day. GO CHIEFS
I say we should look at this in a positive light. Now those back-ups and rookies get a chance to compete for some playing time. Lord knows we need to see somebody come in and shake things up for the Kansas City Chiefs so what better time than now to give some reps to those who didn't have a snowballs chance in hell to get on the field. This also gives Dewayne Bowe a chance to get himself together and refocus. It could be worse we could have been asked to forfiet the rest of our games or start playing the remainder of the season at William Jewel college. At some point in your life you have to be held accountable for your actions. Some people it takes longer than others before they wake up & act like a grown up. Yes it sucks but I'm just saying it's really not the worst thing that could happen is all.
I don't know folks. There is something funny about this game. Did you see the way the Bengals mauled Rothlesberger last week? The bengals have a decent defense but they shouldn't have been that overpowering. The Steelers o-line is struggling for some reason. They should be able to beat us pretty easily, but something just isn't right. This game could be a running expose' and with our new buddy Charles running the rock, we could catch them a little by suprise. I am not expecting a win at this point, but with all of the "new" players the Chiefs will have on the field, some suprising things could happen.
Losing Bowe really sucks but seriously does it matter? Our main goal this year is to just improve and get better so that there's hope in 2010. The season is already lost so lets just see if anyone else can step up. There is a lot of work to do with this bunch and losing Bowe for 4 games is the least of our worries. Our absolute biggest concern needs to be that offensive line. We could have Bowe and Reggie Wayne with Peyton Manning throwing to them and it wouldn't make a bit of difference if we don't have the big bubbas up front. On the bright side I'm very glad to see Greinke get the Cy Young that kid deserves it!
Say it ain't so Bowe... For someone who came down hard on my Yankee friends for A-Roid, I can't be a big fan of Bowe now. Uhm, you did hear it was for a "diet pill", right? Relax, champ. Bowe still has credibility if that's all he was taking. A-Roids on the other hand, well.
Hopefully he learns from this. He's not the first Chief to be busted for roids....he's just the first to fo it under Todd Haley's watch. I'd love to be a fly on that wall. If you cheat you deserve to be punished. I take that stance with all players on all teams. Just sucks that it hits closer to home this time.
Hopefully he learns from this. He's not the first Chief to be busted for roids....he's just the first to fo it under Todd Haley's watch. You do understand he was busted for a diuretic... not for steriods. The 2 are very different things.
The Steelers o-line is struggling for some reason. They should be able to beat us pretty easily, but something just isn't right. This game could be a running expose' and with our new buddy Charles running the rock, we could catch them a little by suprise. The Bengals defense is pretty decent this year(compared to last year). They just played a very good game against the Steelers this Sunday. If you look at the week before the run game was pretty solid from the Steelers. The Steelers still have the number 1 rush defense in the NFL... untill that changes I don't see us running the ball better than any team that has already played the Steelers. Hopefully we do catch them by surprise with Jamaal Charles.
The Chiefs do tend to play to the caliber of our opponents... so maybe we will see a better outing by our beloved Chiefs. Yet I'm not holding my breathe.
The reason diruretics are banned is because of the potential for dehydration leading to collapses like the lineman for the Vikings a few years ago. A banned substance is a banned substance and Dwayne Bowe isn't very bright if he didn't check with the trainers or team medical staff before using them.
So, a happy day for KC with Zack turns into another bizzare day in KC sports. Chiefs fans can take heart at least we picked up Lance Long and Chris Chambers. Softens the blow a bit.
Yeah, the Steelers game will be tough on Sunday. Maybe they will be overlooking KC. Probably not though. Might be a low scoring game.
At least I don't have to worry about starting him on my fantasy team this week. Looks like Anquan Boldin gets his place back.
