Shocking to say the least, since it was a big fight weekend. I was checking the attendance for the home game in 07 & that was 13,000+. I don't know if it's a reach or not, but if we're doing 14,000 for a division II school, there's shouldn't be a problem with us doing the same number if not better, right? I know little about attendance for games or situational settings for a sellout, but I think a in-state rival should pack it in. For a team, that's stocked with a bunch of soph & juniors, I have to applaud unlv fans for showing up for the game. I hope it's the same scenario with about 4,000 more tomorrow. . . . .
I hate to say this but I think that the 14k was your classic Vegas inflated crowd #. I'd say it was 12K max which is still not bad but understand that Pitt State was a Saturday night where the UNR game is a mid-week game.
A better question is Can we beat UNR. I think we will if we don't start slow again. The last time we lost to them at home was the night they dedicated Jerry Tarkanian Court
