I understand what you're trying to do. However, he will go away when Duke plays UNC or UNC starts losing and dropping down the rankings. (I think they start dropping as soon as the Ohio St. game.)
As we saw tonight. Duke is clearly the team to beat in the ACC. UNC will have good games and bad games. But this Duke team is even better than last year, and they still don't have their starting lineup in place. The cool thing is that they will only get better.

I am as hardcore a Duke fan as there is. Duke is my alma mater and I get tired of trolls, but I assure you that won't hear a peep from UNC fans soon. Not this season.......trust me
Guys, its a rivalry. These boards are for fun. I come to the Duke boards to trade shots with Dookies, it's fun. Having said that,
Duke is known as the most classy school? The school that throws condoms at players? The school that has a second speedo man (first one was hilarious) make an obscene gesture to the camera? The school that hires strippers and while they didn't rape them, did still have a drugged stripper? That exudes class.
Duke is not going to get much better. They are the experienced team. They are who they are right now. UNC is the team who will only get better. The team with a new starting point guard and 5 start freshmen. I would not be surprised if we dropped some games early to good teams but by late February in Chapel Hill, they will be more than battle tested.
Believe me, I will be hear proud of my team forever whether they win or lose.

So you are saying that your UNC team from last year didn't get much better than they were at the beginning of the season? They were the "experienced team" last year...were they not? Being that your a UNC fan you will remember that there were alot of doubters because they said UNC looked vulnerable and that they didn't always play with the most passion besides Hansbrough. Surely you remember all that talk?
My point is that even though you had an experienced team, you were a MUCH better team by the end of the year.
BTW.....Duke doesn't even have their starting lineup on the floor. So its absolutely foolish to say we won't get much better. The more these guys play tofether on the floor the better.

No UNC was the same National Championship team when they lost to Boston College, Duke4ever19, they never improved. The night before they played they went out, got sloppy drunk, and molested a couple of goats to keep up with the traditional tarhole standards.

I think UNC was the same team and did not improve, they just hit a hot streak. They were the same team that was vulnerable to explosive guards as they showed late in the year against Maryland and FSU. The difference here is that this UNC team underexperienced in some areas and that will improve as the year goes.
Who else is your starting five? The other Plumlee? When will he be back?

I know that Plumlee was probably the fifth starter and I know he has a broken wrist. But, Zeller was out almost all last year with a broken wrist but it sounds like Plumlee will be back a lot faster.(logic) The reason why I was asking these questions is to get dukefan4ever's view.(reason) Because although I think Henson is one of the five most talented guys on our team, he is not starting cause he is a freshmen and maybe Plumlee would have done the same.(logic) Does that post not have value?
I do not think every player in Carolina blue is automatically better than Duke. UNC has no one on Singler's level, Thompson is closest this year so far. To say I have no knowledge of college basketball is just wrong. My view of college basksetball goes back to 1997, when I first followed UNC from the beginning to the end of the season, but my first memory ever is the celebration at my house in 1993.
I ALWAYS have logic AND REASON behind my post, you just choose to ignore it because it makes me look right and you look wrong. And it is my personal opinion to take Drew over Smith and Scheyer whether you agree with me or not. UNC needs a passer and a defender at the point, not necessarily a scorer like Scheyer and Smith.
