What you saw and what you think is what you believe to be the truth. That you post trash is what I see and what I think...and, dude, that's the truth too! If your bonehead contention had any scrap of substance (that bad officiating determined the game) the boards would be loaded with similar posts from around the country...and especially from Gonzaga fans. The simple "truth" has it that nobody shares your bilious nonsense. ptui.
I thought the officiating was bad both ways. For Izzo to comment on it, it was bad. Yes, they missed an easy call on Allens tip. But they made up for it with their phantom calls that ultimately fouled Morgan out. But many of our league games are officiated by Eddie Hightower, so we are pretty used to it. But I will say it for you BIAS_FAN, Michigan State is the most overrated program in all of sports. Their is a soon to be released article that will outline MSU's involvement in a scheme to munipulate officiating that dates back to the 1979 championship. All past, present, and future accomplishments by MSU basketball will be wiped from the books. Izzo, Heathcote, along with Magic Johnson will ultimately be indicted on fraud and corruption charges. As I predicted long ago, Drew Neitzel will take over the program, along with the Izzo Manshion. And we will have to go through the same rebuilding process Michigan did amist the fall out of the Webber scandal. But for now we are going to cherish the fact that Digger Phellps actually had something positive to say about Michigan State and Tom Izzo in the pre-game last night.
I do agree that the officiating was terrible last night but if you watched the whole game, it went both ways. Not just MSU's way. Sparty had plenty of very questionable calls go against them all night.
You are ridiculous if you watched that whole game and contend that the calls were one-sided for MSU. You sure you didn't just watch the last four minutes? There were a ton of awful calls against MSU, too numerous to point out but as my esteemed colleague pointed out, Raymar Morgan is a good place to start.
It was a good game, but I'm not sure I can handle much more of Eddie Hightower's officiating. He sucks for both teams and its annoying. Kinda like Steve Lavin's commentating. I usually like him for MSU games, but he had a major Jones for the Zags last night. I think its because they are a West Coast team and he still has wet dreams about the Bruins.
But for now we are going to cherish the fact that Digger Phellps actually had something positive to say about Michigan State and Tom Izzo in the pre-game last night.
Just another manifestation of MSU's malevolent multi-tiered media & management "munipulations" (love that word) scheme. Digger didn't say what we heard...what we heard was an Izzone ESPN Soundbite Overlay Worm of one of Digger's earlier drools about Duke.
(might as well say it now, as the "article" will soon enough tell the whole sordid story.)

yea i noticed that too spartan699. one has to wonder has he always liked those teams, or is he just the typical fairweather fan? but anyways.........anyone who watched that game could not have thought MSU got all the calls. the game was very badly officiated both ways. MSU was getting touchy fouls earlier. then the foul where raymar fouled out was a horrible call.seems like the refs always want to call alot of fouls in MSU's games. we do play rough and rugged, but once the tourney starts, do u ever notice they let them play more? so it is what it is, and as bad as we played i still thought we looked very good at times.
The Officials made sure MSU outshot the ZAGs 43% to 35%. The Officials kept giving the ball to MSU ensuring a rebound margin of 13. The Officials made sure the ZAGs had 11 turnovers to offset State's 20. The Officials allowed the Zags only 9 steals and then imposed sanctions. The Officials made sure the Zags had 22 fouls to offset the Spartan's 24.
Yes. Quite clear. Obvious nefarious conduct.
What surprised me is that the Officials did not swat down a shot or two to keep the Zags from scoring. It is certainly true MSU needed the officials as extra players on the court to ensure the win.
