Did IU lose all of it's fans? I never see anybody on here talking about the team anymore. If I was to go to UK's message board it would be filled with different threads that were commented on just today. When I get on here it's filled with threads that are barely commented on. It's kind of disheartening for a guy thats so far away from other IU fans and never has anyone to talk about IU basketball with. I guess I can keep going to UK's board and talk about the team I hate more than any other team, amateur or professional, in the world, but at least their fans give me something to talk about
im still here....i am excited about the young talent..watford, creek.elston,hulls....i like what they bring..2-0 ....i hate kentucky by the way they will be on probation soon
eh....I guess I'm just a zealot. I talk about IU as much as I can with my bud, of course he's a UC fan so there's not much of a debate. Has anyone heard any rumors about this coming recruiting class. I see we got Selby considering us, but I have no idea how much or how high we are on his list.
Good post. I was wondering the same thing about where everyone was. The only thing I could come up with was, that IU fans have jobs and not as much free time as all of the UK fans. Plus UK fans have to really enjoy all the good recruits they are getting because who knows how long it will last before they get busted and are on probation.
IU fans are here. As others have mentioned, the season is just starting and with all the new faces, we are not sure what we have yet. The PR Classic should help with that aspect. BTW....Screw UK! Bunch of pansy a$$ cheater!
Most of the action is either over at Hoosier Nation (Scout) or Peegs (Rivials) plus there is some good stuff on Inside the Hall. I agree with Keith, unlike a fan base of who's name I do not speak, I prefer to know what I'm talking about before I publish it on a national forum. 5hr30min till game time - 4hr till bar time!
P.S. there are reports that Matt Roth broke his ankel and is going to have to have surgery. No official word yet.
Supercool; dive right in, the water's fine. Yes, there have been some lulls in the action on this site but, IMO, it's a pretty good clearing house for Hoosiers fans. Just in the last few weeks, there have been solid dissections of the 2009-2010 roster, predictions and follow-up for each game (even the exhibitions) and good input on the incoming recruiting class. One thing I would like to see is the Hoosiers in the top 10 for fan following. It kills me to see OSU near the top. I am a displaced Hoosier in the land of the Buckeye and their fans give basketball only a cursory glance at best. This is a football state and everything else is rubbish. Indiana bleeds cream and crimson (or black and gold depending on where your allegiances lie) year around but our devotion isn't reflected by the stats on this site. I'd push all fans that check out this site to find a friend and have them list the Hoosiers as a "favorite team". In the long run, it doesn't amount to much but pride says we should be above that team to the East when it comes to fan fervor. Glad to see you and hope to see some more posts in the very near future. I suggest the ole miss post as a place to start. Cheers. GO IU!!!
don't work for the newspaper but blogging at heraldtimes.com is the way to go. Lots of fans there. By the way, there is a reporter from the HT there in PR and nothing has been reported about the ankle actually being broken...yet

There was just a post on Hoosier Nation from a guy who's info is coming from someone bedside - having a screw put in his ankel next week. Could be bs but it's not sounding too good.
Ankle surgery is never a good thing. But atleast this year the hoosiers have a little more depth then last year. Roth missing a while shouldnt hurt to bad. I just hope it doesnt affect his shot.
Between the Kelvin Sampson debacle and the Colts' success this decade, it has seemed to take a little longer to get into the basketball mindset (at least here in Indy). Perhaps also there's not as much to say when you're the third best team in the state. I am happy that IU is taking the necessary steps to get back into the national picture - maybe not this year, but soon in the future.
