i watched the whole game ohio st couldnt buy buckets last night, didnt even act as if they wanted to play till 2 min left in the game, But most of all was not impressed with unc and i dont think any unc fan was impessed with unc. The whole time i watched i was thinking damn we are going to smash the heels this year, Also the Wear boys are a waste
Yeah, I watched that game too and felt like there was no urgency on the side of Ohio State until the end of the game. They couldn't capitalize on turnovers, hit shots, or get down the court fast enough. I think they had 11 points up with 7 minutes left in the first half. For a team that is supposed to be highly regarded as a Big Ten threat, they looked more awful than the Heels looked impressive. The Tarheels can't turn the ball over like that against teams in the ACC though (20 total in the outing) - Deon Thompson was impressive tonight in the rebounding area, but he had 5 turnovers of his own.

Nno o ne said they were impressed with UNC... jacka$$! They can play all the games they want. I thought the bigs looked fairly good for NC, but the gaurd play (minus Ginyard) was not good. LD2 had 8 assists, but also 4 turns. He is getting better, but I don't think he is UNC quality... you'll be better with Marshall running the show. But on rivals it has the top newcomer for all conferences by position. We have the best PG, PF and if Dawkins would have stayed in that class the best SG too... so bad recruiting class by K? Doubtful, just like it would be dumb to say any one coach owns Roy, or Izzo or Self. True UNC fans... your D looked good in the first half, once they are more "Roy" seasoned they will have better focus on longer strectches, the game was hardly in doubt until the end. You act as though Roy Williams built up the UNC dynasty. Coach K took the organization and built it up from the bottom. UNC was already UNC before Roy Williams came to the table. I mean, when Roy Williams was at Kansas, the guy had his only championship in 88 when he took over for Manning. I mean come on, they're both amazing coaches, recruit well, and are stable figures throughout their campus. But, it's cool to say that my head coach built up the program to be what it is today. UNC sucked in the 90s....way worse than Duke has in the 00s. Do the stat research on that.
Oh, and you're such a hometown fan...you don't ride bandwagons at all. I'm looking at your favorite teams and am laughing to myself...Yankees, Lakers, UNC, and I'm sure you started liking the Hurricanes when they won the cup in 05-06.

Matt Doherty recruited the yes but he went 17-15 and loss in the 3rd round of the NIT! Roy Williams takes over and only adds Reyshawn Terry to the teams and goes 19-11 and advances to the 2nd Round of the NCAA's. The next season he adds Marvin Williiams and wins the NCAA title but you wont give him any credit. Thats called coaching! Oh and Mr Lawson says he had the nads to play and win the NCAA title. Where were Dukes nads when getting blown out by Villanove.

Danny Manning was a player on that '88 team, NOT a coach (unless you're referring to Ed Manning, the Asst. Coach, but why?). Roy Williams was an Asst. at UNC in '88... Do you even read what you post? You said Carolina sucked in the 90's but now you backtrack and say that they were 1-4 in important games. Oh important games. A little trivia for you? What team in the state of NC has only made it past the Sweet 16 once in the last 8 years? I would think that any game in March is important.

I really hate to admit this but some of these basketball peasants are correct. D00k will stomp us if we keep playing the we have have been playing so far. They only team we beat convincingly was NCCU. cupcake. We have a really good chance of starting the ACC 6-4 which I'm not happy about. i live and breathe this stuff. My entire fam is UNC grads excpt me, I went culinary school. With that being said, UNC is a better team than d00k. We have better players and when we meet in the ACC it will show. There is something about seeing these private school, richboy, smucks that will get the blood boiling and the HEELS will show up to play. The Tar Heels team we have seen so far this year will not be the same team when conference play starts. Are we going to lose games? Sure we will. But not to d00k. It must suck to be a d00k fan. Always playing second fiddle.
