	right now I don't think you can say they are not. they are the only conference in the country to not have a loss yet. i know its very early, but 34-0 is their record right now. and syracuse had a very impressive win over cal last night. i can finally be excited about college ball again since michigan will compete this year, and i think the big ten has a good conference as well, but from top to bottom i think the big east is still the best.

	Oh yeah, We the Big East definitely have the best conference. We were real top heavy in our conference last year but from top to bottom this year we are much more balanced.

	Without a doubt the top 8 teams will do a lot of damage and a few teams from the lower level are really going to surprise the nation

	Well after today, we will be able to see if the big east is still the beast or final going to lose soem games. Big games Syracuse vs North Carolina. Dayton vs Villanova. Big East vs SEC South florida vs South carolina. Providence vs Alabama. The rest of the games St johns vs Brown. Seton hall vs Cornell. Rutgers vs Drexel. Depaul 60 vs Northern Iowa 52. Big east 38-0. The Syracuse game and South Florida game, Both big east teams will be Underdogs.

	Take your leash off of your bottom dwellers and lets see what happens. NWestern played Butler, IU played Ole Miss, Ohio State played UNC...and the rest were bad losses by PSU (surprising) and Iowa (not surprising...by far worst in the conference).

	One thins for sure is that the Big 10 certainly is not in the tlaks for the best conference. Ole Miss creamed Indiana so bad I began to feel sorry for the Hoosiers. UNC handled Ohio State with a squad full of freshmen, Butler wore down Northwestern and Tulane outplayed Penn State. Michigan State had to come from behind at home to beat Gonzaga. Although the Big 10 is improved from last season, they are going to have to prove they deserve respect before they go claiming conference supremacy. ACC and Big East are the best two conferences in college basketball. SEC and Big 10 have lost to too many mid-major teams to be taken so seriously. PAC-10 is seriously the most overrated of the major conferences. California is not a Top 25 team.

	last year the BE was the best conf. and so far this year the BE is the best conf. i dont see that changing to much

	My guess is that the conferences will rate in this order at the end of the season: 1. Big East 2. ACC 3. SEC 4. Big-12 5. Big-10 6. Pac-10 7. C-USA???? 8. West Coast Conference??? 9. Atlantic - 10 ??? 10. Horizon ??? Those last three are best guesses on my part. I think the Missouri Vally Conference may make some noises too. What do you think?

	agreed! the B-east will go undefeated (includling conference play) which will set a precedence as the entire season will be skewed with ties and all teams undefeated. can't wait to see which of the 16 teams make the tournament. thank god for the play-in game (west virginia?)
