Evening fellow Eagles fans, the game is only minutes away. McNabb has made it clear to his teammates that this a MUST win game, but Chicago is in the same positions as we get late into November and teams are fighting for playoff spots, so it comes down to who wants it more. The Eagles are hoping to beat a 8 game losing streak on Sunday night and McNabb is hoping to have a big game in his hometeam. If I say that I was confident that the Eagles would win, I would be lying. The Eagles are a mixed bag and you never know what you get from week to week. Hopefully we get the Eagles that played against the Giants and not the Eagles that played against the Raiders, please show us all that this team IS a playoff team.
Of course it's a must win game. We are in the middle of a tight playoff race and the Bears are one of those teams chasing us. We lose and not only is the division a uphill climb, but the Wild Card as well.
Evening Truth … I couldn’t agree more, please show us you’re still a playoff team. Things that I will be looking for; more running plays, which could also set up some play action roll outs that I haven’t seen in years. Hopefully D- can cover the tight end, and not go to brain dead in the secondary.
Wassup birdsfaninSC, the Eagles need that balanced attack that is missing, I love the quick strike attack but I would like to see them march down the field grinding up the clock with a balance of running/passing plays. This would wear down the defense who will be too tired to chase DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin.
I look for a lot of screens to Weaver/McCoy at first in the game since Briggs is gonna be coming off the end...they will adjust, which is good cause it will open up our tandom of Avant and Celek in the center. I see everyone having a say in tonights offensive attack. Just need that line to provide some time for DMAC to pull the trigger.
There's talk about Brian Westbrook not coming back for the rest of the season. What are your thoughts on this? You know I really think that's the way to go. Concussions are serious, and having 2 in a span of 3 weeks is no joke. Besides, if you watch him play, you can tell he's not the same. McCoy has that hop in his step that Westbrook doesn't have this year. I love 36 and it kills me to say it, but right now, he just doesn't look like the old 36. Shut him down for the year, and give him a chance to really be 100 percent next year.
I say keep Westbrook out for the foreseable future ... put him in the film room with Shady McCoy, teach him the art of pass protection ... and well be ok
