Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 6:21 pm

Hello CBS members.  I am going to start my own thread where I can share my irrelevant thoughts, pretend plays with pretend lines, and maybe some recipes or laundry tips or other things that have nothing to do with sports or sports betting.

Now, if you think this is a bad idea and its just generally stupid, then you are probably not alone, but I know at least one other CBS member who thinks not only it is a good idea, but also his life revloves around it so I thought I had better give it a try too.  If you have any "value" to contribute, I would love to hear it.  If you have some creedos, words of wisdom, or maybe some "weapons from the weapons rack" to help us in this game, then the more the merrier.

Thank you guys and I am glad that nobody thinks this is dumb since it is clearly a completely lucid and intelligent concept.

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 6:24 pm

I thought I would get us started off with a nice laundry tip.  Laundry is so tricky!

Kids love candy, but let's face it; it can make a big mess! So how do you get rid of those stains?
1. Chocolate. Short of dressing your kids in chocolate brown odds are if they eat chocolate they are going to end up with stains, well, don't worry, everyone has the best stain fighter for chocolate and you probably don't even realize it! Plain old dish soap applied directly to chocolate stains will remove them in short order - even older stains. Rub it into the fabric and then launder in cold water!
2. Lollipops are a sticky mess, but luckily are water soluble. So just run hot water over the stickiness to dissolve the sugars and remove the film. If there is a colored stain left behind, rub white shaving cream onto the stain with a toothbrush and then launder. The warm water will also help loosen lollipops and hard candy that are stuck to household surfaces.
3. How about gum -the worst of the candied messes! Really the best line of defense is to dissolve the gum. Lubricating oil will dissolve the stickiness and loosen the gum. Once you've removed it, pull that dish soap back out to break up the oil residue, and then launder it as directed!

Stains are bad.  Let's work together as a team to get rid of them!

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 6:32 pm

I would also like to introduce you to my simulator that gives my capping plays every day.  It is called STIPS.  It is SPITS spelled backwards.  This is my capping simulator that can give me results in any scenario.  Rookie pitcher who never started a big-league game?  It will tell me where to bet my hard-earned money.  A game where the wind is blowing out 40-MPH?  It doesn't care about that!  Even if it has no ability to consider extra circumstances, I blindly put my money on whatever it says.

I know.  This is dumb.  But not as dumb as fading these plays!  Yes, the tracked stats by actual, respected CBS members show that betting 20 games a day is wasteful and that my machine may cap at only a 43% win percentage, but I don't pay any attention to any of that.  Why would I?  I have STIPS!  What it says, I do.  I don't care if it wins at a 43% rate and that juice on 5000 plays a year is devastating.  I have a computer and I do what it says.  That is all I can do.

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 6:49 pm

Well, my master simulator has found some late plays for us.  I hope you all can find as much value in these as I can.  Remember, you never want to play a game that is higher that -150, so the best way to combat that might be to just knock some juice off of the line so you can post it within your own guidelines and still count it as a winner even if you are posting a -230 play as a -120 play.  If it is confusing, it is meant to be.  The more I could logic, the more nonsense I can get away with.

Here are the plays:
Los Angeles Dodgers (+155)
St. Louis Cardinals (+140)
Texas Rangers (-140 careful of the high juice!)
Cincinnati Reds (+105)

That is all "we" have found.  I know there are thousands of people reading this blog even though nobody else ever posts and nobody else ever rates my posts, but I will still call us "we" since that is how I can try and save face and not look like a complete fool.  "We" have pulled the trigger on these games and will surely end up on the winning side because even if "we" lose, we won't admit it anyway.

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

Wow!  It looks like "we" have a couple results in already and "we" have added some value to our account with wins by the Rangers and Cardinals!  I wish they could all be this easy, but they never are.  "We" are off to a great start on the day and I hope we can sweep this card with a little luck, but "we" know it is not luck.  It is a lot of hard work and effort, even though "we" only play what the computer tells us to, but still, its a lot of hard work for "us".  If it was easy, everyone would do it.

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

I thought you all might like this review of The Cheescake Factory that I found.  Remember, this thread is a really god idea, no matter what it seems like.

I have sat and read so many reviews on Cheesecake factory and I am a little surprised. I have been working in restaurants since I was 16 years old. Its been 12 years now. I have seen some good ones and some bad ones. However out of the many restaurants I have worked at I have never seen one or worked in one as great as the Cheesecake Factory. Employees get there as early as 5 am to make everything fresh. Fresh bread is brought out every 30 minutes. We dont use heat lamps to keep it hot because we have someone constantly bringing new bread out. We don't reuse food and everything is very fresh. The system of teamwork in this restaurant is outstanding. I am honored to be apart of it. We have up to 20 different cooks in the kitchen on busy days to work hard to make sure that all of the 200 plus items are made properly. Managers from coorporate are there constantly to ensure that everything is up to par. Foodrunners make sure that food never sits in the window and everything comes out fairly quick because we keep several cooks to make different items.  Every restaurant has there bad days. I would encourage anyone who might have had a bad experience to give it atleast on more shot. Cheesecake factory constantly tries to conform to the needs and wants of the guests. I love some of the unique pastas on the menu and eat them all the time.  I think the key to saving money at cheesecake factory is to maybe share items. Cheesecake Factory is generous with the portions so you get more for your money.

Serious Jomo Rising!

June 26, 2010 7:19 pm

Look at all the activity on here!  While we celebrate with a nice Jomo Rising, let me be the first to thank you for watching and making this the #1 capping sight in the whole super-intranet for recipes and tips when you also wants some fake plays!  Without you, it would just be me here, and as you all can see, it certainly isn't just me here.  The evidence is obvious with all the activity and action on "our" thread today!  Thank you again my friends.  Without you, I am nothing, so I am so very happy that there are so many of you out there that are supporting me.  I know it is not readily apparent, and basically all the facts point to the fact that I am here by myself, but the results don't lie and without you, I would just be here posting to myself all day.  We are at the top of the board and in the Top-50 again, and "we" owe that to you, the viewer.

A weapon from the Weapon Rack

June 26, 2010 7:41 pm

Here is a hunting knife that I can share with you from the Weapon's Rack:

Don't Let Others Tell You Where To Bet Your Money

Its your money.  Treat it like a member of the family.  If you are letting others tell you how to bet it, then you are way behind in this game.  There are many experts out there who watch their own teams every day and have intimate knowledge of those teams.  However, if you think they know more about their team than, say, a computer simulator, then you are kidding yourself.  There are people who know their teams inside and out, to the smallest of details.  We have some members of the community who are experts on the Brewers, for instance, or experts on Arena League Football, or any other team.  But why in the world would you let them tell you what to play or take their expert advice about their teams when you have a computer simulator to tell you what to do?  Letting others make your plays for you is a novice manuever.  It is your money.  Make your own decisions and never look back.  Or, at the very least, let a computer tell you what to do with your money.  Inputting stats from previous game results into a machine is the only way to cap games, and you need to realize that if you ever want to get anywhere in this game.  I have been in this game since before computers were even made.  It makes you wonder how I placed bets back then since there were no computers and everyone knows I only play what my sim tells me to, so that is kind of hard to figure out....but back to my original point....YOU are the maker of your destiny and if you are listening to people who know their teams inside and out instead of a computer sim, then you are probably going to make a ton of money in this game.  The true genius is the one who is smart enough to realize that he is not an expert on everything and is willing to take other's advice on subjects they know less about.

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

Donny not sure how you got two winners when you announced your picks and then announced the results 10 minutes later. Can you please explain that to me. I am dumb founded how you could do that. I am utterly confused.

A weapon from the Weapon Rack

June 26, 2010 7:45 pm

"We" thank you for your visit, str8snutz, but "we" don't appreciate your tone and would like to tell you that unless you can proide value here, things will be done to remedy that.  Obviously, the more posts on this thread, the better, but when one comes into your backyard and poops on your grass, you have to take appropriate measures.

You were not invited here, nit are you welcome.  "We" are doing great here on "our" own and anyone who comes here only to troll and to harass the hundreds of members of our community here is asking for CBS to take out the trash.  I am not one to pick fights, nor am I one to ever judge another member, but your act is tiring to me and I have no more time for your intelligence and solid logic.  I would rather dance around facts and live in my own world where the sky is green.

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 7:48 pm

Joey, "we" thank you for your visit.  There are many variables in this game.  Times and start times are hard to consider when documenting plays.  "We" post our plays and you can be rest assured that we played them.  For you to insinuate otherwise is troll behavior.  Please move along to other threads if you are only here to spew hate.  Just remember there are variables in the gambling world that you do not understand and questioning someone who has been in this game as long as I have is not smart.  Good luck to you.

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 8:00 pm

Thank you for this thread, Donnie!
This is the value-filled thread that all of CBS has been waiting for for many years.
I am glad that someone has finally showed up who can explain life, recipes, and other minutia on a gambling board.
This idea has been a long-time coming.
You are brilliant!

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 8:23 pm

Nick, "we" have never heard of you, and as such, will not comment on anything you say.  Based on the 0 next to your Rep, I think that you offer no value to the community and CBS will deal with you appropriately.  Instead of stopping in with hate, would it kill you to provide us with a card?  Its so easy that a caveman can do it, if in fact you are smarter than a caveman, which is not readily obvious.  Look in the mirror and decide if you like what you see.  If not, then make some changes.  I thought it was impossible until I did it and the community is better for it!

Interesting Thoughts, Recipes, and Pretend Plays

June 26, 2010 8:26 pm

You are so welcome, Irwin.  "We" are here to help each other out and as long as "we" realize that 1+1=3, then "we" can all benefit in our account balances.  You have been 5'd and added and I hope that everyone who visits can just leave a little love and show "us" some respect for what "we" do here.  Don't worry, its not hard.  Just click those little stars up in the corner and then I can feel like a winner, rather than a loser.  It easy if you try!
