The Separatists think that there are not enough French-Canadians on the Canadiens.
The Federalists think that there are not enough hockey players on the Leafs.Smile

Lets just hope the Leafs keep enough talent to get in the playoffs this year. I fear we are sending good talent back to the minors

I agree windsor.  What happened to Caputi.  ever since he came over from Pitt, leaf fans have been talking about him as though he was the 2nd coming of Christ.  They all had him playing in the top six, and he doesn't even make the team.  Not sure why they sent Kadri down again, on a team that has a serious lack of depth at forward, you'd think they'd want to get this kid some big game experience.  it's not like he's a goalie who's gonna get shelled and have his confidence destroyed.   Leaving prospects in the AHL too long is not always a good idea, and i think the leafs are making a mistake if they leave him down there this year.

The Leafs are seasonally challenged.

In an endless cycle of birth, death and rebirth ...

The buds appear each May with promise; show a nice summer bloom and beautiful late summer spectacle..

Then when the NHL season begins, they immediately fall off.

I think its much more likely that the Maple Leafs finish in the bottom 5 this season and have to give the Bruins another top pick.  I guess anything is possible, I could wake up tomorrow to see the sky is green and the grass is blue.  Leafs in the playoffs.  LMAO.

If you honestly believe the Maple-Laughs can win Lord Stanley this year then go to this site... enter and you could win a million bucks.  Now don't forget I get a commission fee if the unthinkable happens and they win... and you win this contest lol

IMA, I think you had too much rum in cuba, let's think about making the playoffs first, then get through a few rounds, but , I know your just trying to mix things up lol.

All I have to say is that Sean Couturier will be great playing on a line w/ Seguin and Knight!

The Leafs are playing like a pack of wolves...2 men on the puck at all times. Looks great, but can we keep it up. We do have alot of young cubs out there without experianced legs to grind out the season.

Bonus points for the "wolves" analogy.   Don't hear that in hockey much.    A team with wolves and baby bears will be a formidable opponent. all year.

They could potentially finish 7th or 8th in the conference I think. The division will probably go to Boston or Buffalo, but I think they will finish ahead of Ottawa for sure and maybe Montreal. Grinding out the entire season is going to be tough, they will have to avoid losing streaks and play with similar intensity every game. On paper, their defence is actually great, although it has been shotty so far. The goaltending is good with the Giguere/Monster combo. Hopefully the offence can consistently score goals. Kessel will probably notch around 40 and make his linemates look good. The powerplay has no doubt improved from last year. This team won't be thought of as an easy W for any team coming to play them this year and could be the surprise of the Eastern Conference. If they do miss the playoffs it will be a near miss, I can assure you all of that. GO LEAFS GO!

I thought they'd do well this year ( make the playoffs) because of their blue line corps -- A lot depends on them staying healthy -- They don't have a lot of offensive firepower to understate things but if you've watched their games opponents aren't getting a ton of shots and shots they are getting are mostly from outside the perimiter -- Anyhow 4 games in and it's fun to watch so far - Last year was a disaster from the get go - 0-7-1 I believe -- Prediction 6th and they win a round in the playoffs
