got him 12th round in a 16 team league, by accident. 20 seconds left and he fell on my lap. lag or computer failure who knows, but he's mine. Keep him or drop him?
This kid is a stud and I'm not cashing in on the short sample size either. The position is scarce to find power and bags and the Nats are definetly under-rated. He's going to get a chance to run a lot more in the lead off roll too.
Espinosa is hitting leadoff today for the Nats...it's about time, as Desmond has been terrible there for the 1st two weeks. I know it's a small sample size, but he's already walked 7 times in 32 AB's compared to only 9 walks in 109 Ab's last year, me thinks his approach at the plate has changed...
Maybe if Sportsline listed him at his actual position (2B), he would be noticed by more owners, who are obviously scratching their heads at his SS designation (which he does not play).
Legsfeedthewolf - This kid is just a kid with too small of a sample size to declare him a stud. EVERY year there are players just like this 'would be stud' who make a good splash and then fade. When the pitchers adjust to him, can this 23 year old adjust back? Here's betting he can't and he won't without more seasoning. Enjoy the ride with him for a period or two until he inevitably tanks. Remember that for every Pujols who exceled as a rookie and never looked back there are a hundred Espinosas that require a bit longer to be good.
even the elite players have cold streaks, and i'm sure espinosa will too, but just because he goes cold doesnt mean he wont find it and get hot again, its a game of adjustments, i think espinosa will be a stud
