When you get a chance jonny, I have a few questions:
No problems Koy.
Opening song was "We Take Care of Our Own," and then into "Wrecking Ball."
The song that ended the regular set was "Thunder Road,"
The Encores were:
Trapped (Jimmy Cliff song) Rocky Ground (with Michelle Moore) Ramrod (in which Bruce said before the song started, "We need to test Jakey) Born To Run Dancin' In The Dark Tenth Avenue Freeeze Out (when they got to the line, "When the change was made uptown and The Big Man joined the band," the band stopped playing and a short video montage of Clarence through the years was played throughout the arena. Very poignant)
It was a perfect way to end the show.
Aside from playing Trapped, he did do two soul classics that he did at The Apollo last month, "The Way You Do The Things You Do," (which starteed as a 7 voice a capella before the band jumped in, and 634-5789 (Soulsville U.S.A.)
check out www.backstreets.com for commentary on every show on the tour. It's a great site for everything Bruce.
AFTERNOON everybody and GOOD FRIDAY to those of us unfortunate enough to endure a catholic upringing in the 60s. (Hope nobody gets offended by that attempt at humor. I send my kids to catholic school just as I attended 12 years of catholic school and I don't know about JEWISH GUILT, but it can't outrank CATHOLIC SCHOOL & PARENT GUILT by much if you know what I mean.)
JOHNN, did you see the comment I left you yesterday just after your post saying you were leaving??
KOY, hope all is well with you.
I spent the morning doing the Easter shopping for TWO family gatherings, mine on Sat and my wife's family on SUN and dropped well over $200 after dropping almost $200 last Friday with early preperations. Needless to say, space in my refrigerator is at a premiun and the cooking seesion that begins tonight hasn't even started. Had planned to take advantage of some beautiful 64 degree sunny weather and cut my grass but the NEW battery I put in my riding mower won't start my mower today!!!!! Guess I''ll be having an interesting conversation at O'REILLY'S on Monday or Tuesday. I do have a jump starter...................in the back of my wife's car at work!!!!! Guess I'll hang here and help my son with his service hour project for his high school, so I should be in and out this afternoon.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE if I don't bet back by or e-see you before then.
