I'm confused then. How many weeks are left in our fantasy regular season?
I'm hoping two.............I know I still have to play Lefty and DUB........

Yes, two more weeks. 14-game season, with six divisional games - three at the beginning and three at the end. Joe, you've still got the second games against one4 and Duff to go.

Come on TREFF- You beat Scape and I'll beat Boomer.
I'll do my best, but with no Vick, no McFadden..that's an awful tal order.  Shocked I won last week to be quite frank

some of the big talkers on the message board didnt make the playoffs
Hey Dog- Most of the guys in this league are big talkers so some of us were bound to miss the playoffs. I expected the league to be competitive and I wasn't disappointed. More impactful trades and waiver wire activity than in any other league I was in. I started fast so I had a low waiver priority each week and seldom got the guy I was after. Still snuck out AJ Green and Gronk early.
Dog-you would be a good addition. Hope Will the commish finds room for you next year.

I don't think you ever posted that team
Who I started last Sunday. 10-team league, so raise your expectations. Standard scoring, but passing TD is only worth 4.

QB - Cam Newton
RB - CJ30M
RB - Blount
Flex - Gerhart
WR - Harvin
WR - Antonio Brown
TE - The great Jimmy Graham
DST - Jets
K - Matt Bryant

That was good for 110, second in the league that week.

RBs: McFadden, Kendall Hunter
WRs: MWTB, Laurent Robinson, Vincent Brown, Gaffney
DST: Texans

Just like in our league, I dropped Ogbannaya for Gerhart late.

Yeah Will you hit a home run with just about everybody in that line up last week. I thought about Gerhart in our league but didn't like his matchup and figured he would just sit my bench. IMO I like Robinson as your flex until Austin is back and established. Nice solid team...........love that Jimmy Graham........lol.

PS Didn't get Hillis........did get Morris and New England D and I am kinda suprised that Cooper kid is still on the wire.....

That's a tough list, Sam. I'd probably sit Foster, simply because if I'm Atlanta I'm putting all my energy into stopping him.

Okay, guys, here's today's flash of brilliance (although I wouldn't be surprised if others have had it already).

DUB kvetches (rightly) that head-to-head match-ups are kind of meaningless because there's so little you can do to affect the other team's score. Sure, you can nab a guy off waivers you think the other guy might want, or play VJax if he's playing Rivers in the hope of off-setting things a little, but that's not much.

But what if you could affect the other team's score, directly?

So here's the idea (not for this league, which I'd like to keep standard, but just theoretically). Each week, you can pick one player on the opposing squad you want to defend, and the effect is to cut that players FF production in half for that week.

Since FF is a game of evaluating how players will perform, particularly in a given week, this is just an extension of that, but affects your opponent.

For example, say I defended Sam's Matt Forte last week - so instead of 7 FF points, he would have scored 3.5. And say Sam defended Cam on my side, so instead of 19, Cam would have booked 9.5 for me.

Who got blocked on your team would only appear when that player's game started, so you couldn't bench guys to get around it.

That way, head-to-head would mean something. What do you guys think?

It would add another aspect to the game. But say you have one of the elite qb's then your opponent would just block them every week. Maybe a small list of unblockables like the undropable players.

WilWhite...I LOVE YOU....I mean I love the thinking out of the BOX, truly love it!!!! haha!

Not sure how owners wouldn't know who the player is that the other owner blocked though.  Unless everyone sends an email to the Commish.  Also the owner playing Commish and the Commish would need to send an email to an honest Abraham Lincoln person for that match-up game...  Is that what your thining...?

I hate head to head being the end all be all, truly doesn't show the skillz of an owner....Cool

Thanks for the help on the RB's guys!  And I agree with Scape.  I would make a list of unblockables also.  It would also add a feature if that is what you're going for.

Will that would be the shit**** actually! Instead of a list of untouchables either make the QB position untouchable or how about this cool twist......home team names the position that the 2 teams would be defending........also should not affect point totals just your game. DId you think this up all by yourself or have you heard of something like this cause I know I never have........
