Jimmy, you are quite right.  Lonnie is intent on following me like a demented rabid dog.  I tried to refresh the Anecdotes thread today. And in he trots.

   I restarted it with a joke and he spends half the day picking it apart. So be it.

   So in the binterest of all you fine peoples sanity I will avoid correcting Lonnies continuous stream of howling lies on the actual thread they occur.

    So if he want's to continue  telling barefaced lies I'll correct them here.

   Some folk  don't care about facts.  Recently one guy insisted that Opinions are fine , even if the opinion is based on a lie?  I can't accept that in any shape or form..

  To use an example ....Celtic Manor is a links course?  How the hell could one have a meaning chat about the Ryder Cup if you watch the damn thing for the duration and still think its a links course a week after??  How can anyone profess to know more about golf than everyone combined and didn't know the Ryder Cup  was in Wales?

   And as recently as 3 days ago....." The eye of hurricae Irene passed 35 miles from Henrico?"


      Anyway.......you'll all be delighted that when you see an additional post on this thread you'll have no need to look in??

This is a supposed GOLF thread and you are trying to determine MY exact body type?  You're weird.  I am 6'1" so even at my heaviest, I carery it well.  I Play tennis, and my movement is awesome - I'd like to be 10-20 lbs lighter.  Who wouldn't?

Nokoman -  This is the kind of JUVENILE, contrived, antagonistic, argumentative, unreasonable s h i t that you ALWAYS come up with.  C'mon mate, please.  I was an assistant professional at one of the most iconic Links Course in the USA.  I lived in Sea Pines for 3years.  I have played the game since I was 6 years old.  I attended a GOLF academy for two years and studied the history of the game.  A "links" course is always a SEASIDE course that "links" the land and sea.  I know what "links" golf is.  YOU KNOW that I know what links golf is - After watching the 2010 Ryder Cup I was under the impression that it was indeeed a links course.  It was very open and had a links like feel.  I assumed since it was being played on an ISLAND, that it was PROBABLY near some water.  The fact is the at the course could be considered a links style course.  In fact the resort itself describes the course this way - 

 One of the features of the spectacular new course is its variety with many of the earlier holes having a links-like feel with some long rough and greenside swales, before the middle section of the course reveals the full extent of the lake-lined challenge.  A tough finishing stretch culminates in a...........

So it's really no that much of a stretch to call it a links course.  And don;t come back and say a bunch of antagonistic horses-h-i t about Celtic Manor being the resort and the course itself being The 2010 Course.  What EVER!   The Ryder Cup was played at CELTIC MANOR -  i am sure that is most people refer to the course as such -
