Fact, any Islanders prospect ranking that doesn't have Brock Nelson as #1 is garbage.

Killer, of course you would bash the #2 ranked prospects in the Islanders, no matter what. El Nino started off with a nasty concussion he substained on a dirty hit from your Penguins, and when he came back, was either scratched or saw limited minutes. He will be fine. This was written right before thise 2011-2012 season. Of course your blind homerism would bash Nino. Why don't you look at the Pens prospect system, you won't find too much down there. Just keep circumventing the cap and signing free agents.

But of course, because the Isles have won 4 cups to the Pens measly 3, maybe you should pay a little more attention....

Little teaser for cmc, who is obviously a North Dakota and Minnesota hockey fan...

Brock Nelson:  He's had a very impressive season for North Dakota, a season that continues as the Fighting [tribe not for mascots] swept Bemidji State to advance to their 10th consecutive WCHA Final Five. Nelson has led his team with 23-17-40 in 37 games. [post-game video with Nelson from last week]

What big bad Penguins player gave Nino a concussion?  I would love to hear how this happened.  Maybe that rookie shouldn't have been running his mouth....

stop it, you're obviously suffering from PTSD.

and we dont need to have a great prospect pool... because we actually have good players on our NHL team.

I'm still waiting to hear what Penguins player took out Nino with a dirty hit and gave him a nasty concussion.  I can't think on any.  But maybe I need to pay a little more attention....

Islanders All-Star center John Tavares is going up against one of the top goalies in the world, Nashville's Pekka Rinne, in the semifinals of the EA Sports NHL13 Cover Vote!

Voting for this round ends at 11:59 p.m., Monday, May 28 and there is NO LIMIT to how many times you can vote.

NHL Stars Steven Stamkos, Patrick Sharp, PK Subban and Jeff Skinner have officially joined forces with Michael Grabner, Matt Moulson, Matt Martin and the rest of the Islanders on Team Tavares.

These mainstays from across the league are campaigning for #JT91 through their personal twitter feeds and by lending themselves to upcoming campaign efforts to push Tavares into the final four of the tournament.

Tavares on moving onto the next round:

"I'm flattered that I am moving onto the next round of the EA Sports NHL13 Cover Vote.  I've always said that we have amazing fans on Long Island that support this team.  I appreciate the hours of voting they've put in for me and look forward to seeing what they can do as I'm up next against one of the NHL's great players, Pavel Datsyuk.  Don't count Islander fans out, they'll always end up surprising you."

.....Its not the Playoffs but, its cool to see JT is getting recognition/notoriety and is popular and liked among other NHLers...also interesting is that he was voted over Pavel Datsyuk and is now facing Pekka Rinne who out-voted Henrik Lundqvist.

probably the farthest he will ever go in any playoffs for the rest of his career.
