I haven't read yet about how bad it is. Is he going to play this season? Was he just grazed by a bullet? Is he in a friggin wheel chair , crutches????? WHAT??????? I'm glad he's back in class and all but hey , us wildcat fans are curious about his return to the court too.
BearzDen," Please. You obviously don't realize" how hard it is to win a national championship let alone three. It takes not just talent, but the right match-ups, excellent coaching, a certain amount of luck, and so many unmeasurable variables that to claim they could have three championships in the next five years takes nothing into account for the talent of the rest of the nation, the complexities of the game, and is just brash vabratto.
So, as you can hopefully deduce by now, my comment had nothing to do with the 'Cats talent and incoming recruits.
I'm laughing at the ASU fans on some of these sports blogs tearing UA fans apart for the loss to SPU. It's pretty sad when your team sucks so much you have to depend on the faults of your rival to vindicate your lack of security. Arizona will have a nice learning season and will grow as the season progresses. We still have studs coming in, we still have decent vets, and the raw talent will learn. Final four contenders in two years maybe. Next year, if the off-season bodes well.
I'm not worried about the loss at all. That's what those games are for. To help a team gel and prepare. By the time we hit Pac 12 play I'm sure we'll be clicking and very tough to beat.
Last night watch a good test for the Wildcats, they performed well. They are not nearly as good as last year's team ... yet. But I believe they have the potential to be even better especially when the freshman get comfortable. Turner played his best game of the year and Fogg stepped up to be the leader he should be. Bigger test tonight against Miss St and their big center. It is time for Kryle to step up and play hard, this is his game tonight.
Kyryl is Walters basically. He has flashes, but that's it. We'll have a center next year, but for now, I'm hoping Chol gets comfortable in that spot. He reminds me of Jordan Hill somewhat with his potential (and Hill was rocky his first year as well, but quite exciting to watch)
yeah not impressed with Kyryl at all. I keep giving him chances to thrive just a little bit and redeem himself. But he is consistantly ...umm.....well, bad. Chol needs to step it up big time. VERY impressed with Nick Johnson. Although I knew he would help the team. Good things happen when he's in the lineup. He's a natural leader. Next year will be the year. Can't wait.
I really hope next year is. Don't get me wrong, I have faith, but I am skeptical. I am excited about ther recruits coming in and the growth our current freshmen will have, I just worry about expectations raised so high and then the players fizzle out. I'm glad Turner is learning his lesson well, but happy at the same time he wasn't living up to what was expected of him (aka, he comes back). I hope if the recruits are watching these games, they see they need to come in and make that impact. Despite my worry, I'm still excited.
Natyazhko finally listens and starts playing with a bit more fire. I know he's going to commit more fouls of course, but still, it was great to see him fight after the ball more instead of being too soft and conservative. Perry, way to play the 5 there
