On the ice

Habs +117
While the habs were playing great, they didn't look good Tue with Plekanec out, he's back and they face a caps team that has some serious character issues. Coach Hunter threw Vokoun under the bus after the sens game, Ovie is back after dealing with a lower body injury. Clearly Boudreau wasn't the problem, we knew that, he has the ducks in the playoff hunt, Hunter has a team with a load of talent who just aren't playing well. The habs haven't played well vs the caps of late, haven't scored in the last 3 games vs them, to me that is enough reason to get after it, Neuvirth getting the start for the caps. Bit of a homer play, but something is wrong with the caps.

Devils -104
Great spot to catch the canucks after they snapped the red wings home wing streak last night, went to a s/o, another early start for them, and the devils have been playing elite hockey of late. The canucks have had marty's number, but I think the devils win this.

Bruins/sabres O5.5 +126
These teams hate each other, the sabres rolled the bruins 6-0 last time, although the bruins won the boxing matches, including the classless move by Thornton jumping Weber....bad blood continues as does the high scoring games between these two, 8 of the last 10 have gone over.

Sens netter Anderson cut his hand at home cutting meat, cut it deep enough to get tendons, could be out for 8 weeks.......trying to figure out how that is possible, pitchers and goalies??

Good Luck

On the ice, awful night last night, first one in a long time

Caps +136
The habs woke the bruins up way back when they beat them b2b in a home and home, they went on a tear after that, habs looked awful last night, caps looked good, watching the game, I got the sense that the caps know they need to win, they showed some life and while I'm not ready to say they are playoff material yet, they clearly have the pieces to go deep if they put the effort forward......as for the leafs, no chance they should be this value vs the caps.

Preds -108
Long road trip for the sharks coming to an end, 8th game on the road, I think the preds are right behind the wings and canucks in the west, lost on them the other night, they should get this one.

Sens +107
Bruins with the loss last night in Buffalo in a game I expected to be way more intense and high scoring, the bruins have won seven in a row vs the sens, Auld gets the start since Anderson butchered himself, the sens are playing fast hockey, the bruins are hit and miss right now.

Good luck

A couple games on the ice

Canes +117
No Callahan tonight for the rags, Biron getting the start, great record vs the canes. Ward going for the canes, the canes have been playing well lately.

Jets -1.5 +236
No Versteeg for the panthers, big divisional matchup here, the jets didn't show up for the oilers game and know they need to show up tonight especially with the caps playing better, stud d for the jets Bogosian is back tonight, hard to find a better home ice advantage.

No idea what the habs will bring tonight, clearly not making the playoffs, feel it for leafs fans, doing their mid season dump again, don't get it.

Good luck

On the ice

Sens -1.5 +221
The sens continue to surge, no anderson......no problem, just score goals, and they are doing so with ease. The hawks have some net issues and still no Toews.

Caps in reg -.5 +125
The caps are playing better hockey, the devils are struggling now and coming off a rough loss last night in o/t.

Good luck

A few on the ice

Habs -101
I would say the leafs have a better team than the habs at this point, habs have the better goalie in Price. Recall a couple years ago when we started keeping track of new coach first game, it was hitting at a high %. Will also add that this is a huge rivalry, that alone will ensure the habs show up tonight.

Canes -1.5 +177
Back to the canes again, Ward starting and the bolts coming off a big win last night vs the rags. The bolts didn't land in Raleigh until 3am due to plane issues, can't find if Hedman is playing tonight for the bolts, he has been hurt.

Preds in reg -.5 +123
Preds are a deeper team than the panthers, from what I have read, no Versteeg tonight. I do expect the panthers to play a lot harder than they did in the 7-0 loss to the jets, all the same, preds win.
