2011 - Welcome to the B1G!

Man, watching what seemed like Wisconsin getting 1000 offensive rebounds made me sick to my stomach tonight..

Huge win against Indiana tonight, but it only matters if they can string a few more wins together in a row which will be tough has our next game is against Ohio State... the four after that they desperately need though (Iowa, Northwestern, Minnesota and Michigan)  Nebraska is 10-8 right now and as I count it they have 3 more games they will be favored in and 4 games that are toss ups IMO... which means they need all 7 of those games and two or three big wins to sniff anything.  That being said, I'm sure we'll come back to earth on Saturday.  I hope i am wrong though.

They looked great the last 6 minutes but they looked like crap the first 5 of the second half.  If they can play a full 40 minutes they might be dangerous.

They have looked much better the last few games with Diaz & Talley.

Big win last night, but they need to back it up for the rest of the season and not tank like they did last year after they beat Texas.   

Doc's gotta go!  Six points in 13+ minutes is unacceptable.  I know they have had injury issues, but they ALWAYS have injuries and NEVER have a suitable backup. 

Diaz appears done for the season & his replacement in the rotation is a 6'4" walk on. 

At this point, get the young guys some PT and hope that next year they are ready to play.

As much as I love to watch NU hoops, I can't wait for the season to be over.  I am tired of being frstrated/pissed off at the end of every game. 

This is honestly one of the worst basketball teams I have ever seen play at this level. Their offense is putrid. In fact, it is a joke. There is no reason Division 1 college players shouldn't be able to score 60 points a game. High school teams average more points that this team playing eight less minutes. I support NU hoops, though they are not my team of choice, I want them to be competetive. What has been going on in Lincoln cannot continue.

Wow...can't say I was expecting that blowout of Illinois...even though the Illini were struggling coming into the game, it's still very very surprising..

Not sure where that team has been for the last month (or most of the season for that matter).  I still don't think it's enough to save Doc's job. Teh only other game all season they looked that good was against Rhode Island.

Got to think Doc is gone after we get beat by Indiana on Thursday... think they will remember the last time we met?  On a side note the Women's basketball team SLAUGHTERED Ohio State tonight on their way to the B1G title game... maybe they can win the B1G their first season...

Thbey might get beat by Purdue instead of Indiana and by Saturday Doc's firing will be official.  I just hope they make a big splash with the new hire.

They might get beat by Purdue instead of Indiana.  In fact Purdue is their most likely first round opponent.  If Purdue beats Indiana and Michigan wins at Penn State, Purdue is the five seed and we are 12.  If Indiana & Michigan win, Purdue is six and we are 11.  The only way we play Indiana is if Indiana wins and Michigan loses.

By Saturday Doc's firing will be official.  I just hope they make a big splash when they make the new hire.
