I will be starting a game for this thread. Everyone is welcome to play. I will post catagories and you have to guess on what the outcome will be. I will keep track of the stats till the end of the year to see who the winner is, this winner will get bragging rights about knowing the most about UNC basketball this season. Its a fun game to play. I hope i get enough people to play. I will post tonight and you have till tip off to get your stats in. Only post once, i will not look at your second post because it would get too crazy. Here is example of one of the catagories. Who will score the most points? All you have to do is put the player you think will score the most. Cant wait for tomorrow.
Barnes. This sounds like a pretty cool thing to do Purguy I like it. I have to go with Barnes because I think he will come out and want to make a statement to everybody that he is going to bring it every game this year. I think he has put in the work to become a better player in every aspect of his game and I think he will show it tomorrow. I can't wait for the game and the start of the season against a great opponent in Michigan State. Go Heels !!!!!
Purguy, I will go with Barnes also and hope the weather holds up. Tomorrow's forcast is a 50% chance of rain and winds of 8 mph out of the SW. If I remember correctly the carrier sits North and South, so you will be playing with the wind for one half and against the wind the other. It will be a great season to start with Michigan State and the Tar Heels have a ticket sals going on tomorrow 11-11-11 for 3 basketball games at the Dean Dome. Tickets are $11.00 per game, good promotion.

How do we go about determining #1 though? For example, say Barnes gets 40 points, 3 rebounds with decent shooting stats (say high 40% from the field, 35-40% from 3 point range, and 80% from FT line), while Zeller gets 25 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and good shooting stats (60% from the field, 90% from the FT line). I get that Barnes pours in a huge number of points, but you could make an argument that Zeller had a better all around game (contributions against more categories). Do we have a vote amongst the board?
MVP is all the stats in this game added together so example would be.
MVP= Points, rebounds, assist,blocks, steals are positives. Negatives are fouls and turnovers. so say barnes is the the winner of the 1st game it would be like this. Barnes goes: 28ts, 5 rebounds 4 assist, 2 bllocks, 2 steals, 4 fouls and 3 turnovers: He would of scored 33 for the game. Add all the positives and subtract the negatives.
Game is less then 4 hours away I'm getting pumped. I hope we really put it on Michigan State beacause I would like to see Hubert, Jackson, and White out there so we can get a feel for what kind of players they are.
