We’ve seem to have gathered a few trolls from a multitude of latitudes and longitudes since the launch of the first salvo that announced the birth of this thread.  You are all welcome to remain if you follow these simple rules.

Sonny your correct with Liver transplants but the line is short. The percentage must be taken as to it's acceptance to your individual body. The reaction you get may kill you. remember it's the filter of your body and the new liver may have been subjected to abnormalities of your your's, thats whats so scary. The thought on one hand your life is being saved with a transplant and on the other , maybe a year down the road, a seriuos negative reaction. Wow how fragile life really is

It is depressing Greg because it seems everybody these days are getting it. Even people with no family history of cancer are getting it. It makes you wonder why?

It's been nice chatting but I'm afraid I have some other buisness to take care of. I may get the oppertunity to see you tomorrow.

Hello guys. I'm not here posting to banter back and forth although I have a great time doing it. We all can do that on all the other posts. I just wanted to post this as you guys were discussing a serious issue.

 I just read your posts on cancer. My best friend has cancer. He's 46 years old and has three young children. He and I were meeting friends for a ski trip about five years ago. He called me and said he couldn't go. I asked him why and he told me he was sick throwing up all night a few nights before and he went to the ER where they took him to surgery. They took out his gall bladder. The oncology report came back and it was that of a malignant tumor. He only had it in his gall bladder they said and had gotten it all. Every six months he would be reviewed. The next thing I hear is he has a couple spots on his lungs. Then this past October he had a tumor removed from his liver the size of two baseballs. Once it's in the liver it can be all over you. I pray everyday for my friend. I also pray they find a cure for this deadly disease. All hatred and school pride aside, cancer is no joke.

Even people with no family history of cancer are getting it. It makes you wonder why?

It's the cancer research lobby.  People used to just die and all the family was left with was the cost of a funeral.

Now they have to go bankrupt to avoid a guilt trip by avoiding ultra high cost treatment with no money-back guarantee against failure.

Don't get me wrong.  I'm all for treating the sick with compassion.  I kind of draw the line when you start treating them them like laboratory experiments.

Yes, I don't even think the pharmaceutical industry wants to find a cure. That's the sad part. They are making much more money treating cancer as is.

Watching the first half of the Wisconsin/ UNC game.  These guys are trying to make the Tigers look like a real top ten ten team.
