I can't be any prouder of how they played against Ohio State. We llok like a college basketball team now and we have the potential to do great things. We will win a few games in the SEC. Arkansas barely slipped past SE Lousianna and we beat them by 20. Im really excited to see how we will perform in the next few weeks. Lets get a winning record going into SEC play and we'll have a shot at the NIT or maybe, not likely the NCAA tournament. I completly dought that will happen though. We can pull a few upsets against Flordia or Kentucky and we actually do have a shot at getting there. I dont think it will be this year but our team has a great future ahead of them!!
When the team plays a full game and force others into making mistakes, then we will shock some folks this season. The problem is that we usually only play one half of good basketball. I'm not sure why we shoot so many 3's, but it does get our bigs some good rebounding numbers. These are the best players we can get right now. Horn is making the best of it and I think the energy the team has will eventually pay off. I would really like to stop shooting so many 3's and start driving in the lane at maybe drawing some fouls. Playing from the inside out can really improve this team's play. I don't care what anybody thinks. That was a great win against Alabama last night. Now let's build off that and start surprising some people.
If we shot just 30 percent from 3, we would be beating teams by 10 or more. We play GREAT defense and get a lot of offensive rebounds, just all of our players jack up a 3 whenever they get a chance. They a great looks too, we just dont shoot the 3 particulary well. If our team gets hot and starts hitting on all cylindars, we can beat any basketball team in the country. We need to figure out of close games too. We were winning at the half against Florida, auburn, and Ohio state, but we couldnt close the gaem out.
