What will all of your excuses be now for another lost season?  Offense, Defense, Special teams, Coaching, or JJ himself?

I borrowed a little ditty from my military day and  it goes something like this:  Here we go again same old shit**** again marching down JJ avenue X more weeks till he'll realize he's through.

Romo... Did well but responsible for 3 turn overs.  Quote from romo..I think I'll do something special tonight. Yelp you did if you consider giving the ball away 3 times special.

Witten.. dang good TE but doesn't fight fir extra yards much.  Quote from Witten: We have mental toughness and it will just come down to will.

Humm seems they had neither.

Defense:  Well wot can you say when ur on the field all the time. But Newman for sure needs to go.  Why did we resign Elam and Senabaugh? Ealm we already let go once. Basically defense sucked.

Offense: Well Romo speaks for himself.    Offense basically sucked tooo. HC\OC is really bad. I mean why go for a 4th and one and not kick a FG?

I see a need for a major overhaul in this current team as they hav shown year after year they can' get it done.  Time to cut the ties and strt rebuilding.

Like I said want to hear from homers/fanatics why once again for the last 10 years we couldn't  do better with this current roster...

Same as most situations, the players aren't good enough.  Bring in better players and the wins will come :)

A.  4/12 on third down conversions means the offense stunk up the place.

B.  Eli Manning beat our defense,  Tony Romo didn't beat theirs, that is not a bright spot and he did not do good.

C.  Blanked out in the first half,...that means the offense was bad, including the QB stop trying to hide that fact.

D.  You're right we got rid of Elam once,.....and then ended up needing him back because of injuries. This is all part of that karma from that dumb idea that getting rid of Terrell Owens and replacing him with Roy E. Williams was such a great thing.  ..... Oh I forgot the part where Jerry for no good reason decided not only wasn't it better to keep Terrell Owens and then phase him out at a cheaper price and save that cap space,.....he spent that cap space and then some on a three year bust (Roy E. Williams) remember that?   what was it 45 million with a 9 million dollar out clause?  That's why we ended up settling for Elam when we should've been able to command better.   So you see class, it really would've been cheaper to keep her (T.O) because we would've saved a whole lot of cap space.   And yes as ineffective as he was against the Eagles in 09' it would've made no difference if it was Roy E. Williams or Terrell Owens on the field we would have won that game with either of them,......it just would have cost less with the guy you were scared of because he wasn't scared to say he wants to win.

E.  It's hard to say if the scheming is just too much for these guys or if they're just not good enough.   It looks like to me the entire defense worked better the way Wade had it when we went 13-3.   Maybe Ryan's playbook is too difficult for these guys.  Maybe we need to see what it looks like with a whole off season to practice and a massive change in personnel.

F.  Doug Free is not good enough in this division.  He needs to be in a slower less demanding division.   That's the nice way of putting it.  Martellus Bennett needs to go too.  I can't figure out what the hold up is.   This whole idea where Jerry allows these lame coaches to talk him into keeping people who just don't show up is beyond me.   I'd trade Felix Jones too. He's good trade bait right now,..somebody will need his skills.

G.  Jason Garrett wasn't good as the OC, why the hell would you promote him where he can even better destroy the team's chances (you know like the Jets game where he let Tony Romo talk him into running instead of settling for the FG just like tonight, and where he froze our own kicker)?   This is what the "good ole boy" system gets you,...........wasted seasons.

I wonder if Jerry will make a rash decision that will end up being something good for the team this time around???

Problem is the Cowboys can't win when the need to.  Whether it be offense, defense or special teams. Now that comes down to 3 things as I see it.

1) Talent is overrated and in need of upgrade and why do we hire resign players we have let go?

2) Coaching is poor and why do we hire coaches who have been fire or let go in the past?

3) Ownership is a big problem as long as JJ can't see through his ego thinking he's a REAL GM then it's gonna be the same old same old for who knows how long.

No excuses, this team is full of overpaid, underachievers.  Yes it is time to part ways with alot of guys on this roster through trades or flat out cutting them.  I am hoping for a complete overhaul.  It would be easier to see this team lose for a couple of years due to rebuilding, rather than have a talented roster give up when the field gets bumpy.

You are right about the talent, but I don't think the talent is overrated from my perspective because I thought we had average talent to begin with.

2) Coaching is poor and why do we hire coaches who have been fire or let go in the past?

I think you are off with the coaching, Garrett has never been fired and Rob Ryan has never been fired.  Coaches who are let go when a new head coach comes in is not the same thing because coaches want to bring in their own guys.  I feel like Garrett is a good coach who is taking the team in the right direction, but even if I didn't how can you criticize a coach for putting his team in position to make the playoffs when he just has average talent to work with?

He's also the perfect coach to work with the cancer that is Jerry Jones because he's not a yes man like Wade, but he doesn't try to take over the show either like Parcells.  He's able to walk that middle path and Jerry respects him, so hopefully that gives him more say when it comes to talent aquisition.

3) Ownership is a big problem as long as JJ can't see through his ego thinking he's a REAL GM then it's gonna be the same old same old for who knows how long.

I agree with this.

Unfortunately Jerry Jones will not part ways with the right people.
Remember that "clean house " lie from this past off season?   Remember that "culture change",.........well apparently it changed,....for the worse.

My list of who will be gone,  Abram Elam, Gerald Sansebaugh, Terrence Newman, Martellus Bennett, maybe Doug Free and or Felix Jones.

As nicely as I can put this without blowing up (AGAIN)

I think Tony Romo, Jason Witten, and Miles Austin, need to be phased out over the next two seasons.   I honestly think for all their stats they are simply not what this offense needs.   They do not have the ability to step up to the next level, and they proved that again this year.

Jason Witten is a great check dow, but he's slow and easy to stop,......not good when you need to get down the field in a hurry.

Miles Austin is a great mid-field threat, but he's one dimensional, mostly as a slot guy.  We could do without him if we kept Robinson.

Tony Romo;  They said it best on ESPN,  he's good but he's not great, and what's keeping him from being great?   He can't win big games that count in the late part/s of the season.  No NFC title or Superbowl shows is always going to seperate him from being called truely great.  He's more Danny White than Troy Aikman in terms of filling shoes,.......

Time to find their replacements this off season and take the hit and phase these guys out.   It really can't get worse than this.   All that can happen is they don't make the playoffs again,.......you ought to be getting used to that by now.

Perfect how?  Croonie? Or has ties to Dallas?  JJ seams to like prior/familiar failures. As far as Garrett goes he's never been any thing but a back up QB for Dallas... until some one sold him on the ideal he was a OC and HC.  I suppect the was the J boys.

If you're phasing out Romo, Witten and Miles Austin.  Then why not try and trade DeMarcus Ware for some draft picks while he still has value?

And what makes you think Garett is not just an average coach or better yet just another one of JJ cronies?

I deduced that from my advanced intelligence, advanced football knowledge, and the ability to judge talent.  When I see guys in position to make plays, but the play is not made, I can conclude that the coaches put the guys in the right position, but the players just weren't good enough to make the play.  I've seen the same guys for years now play average football whether it was with Bill Parcells, Wade Phillips, and now with Jason Garrett.

I see 8-8 talent on this team and we went 8-8....Garrett made a couple of coaching mistakes this season, but the vast majority of the blame falls on the players.  Here is an exercise you can perform:

What positions, as a group, ranks in the top 5 in the NFL?

What positions, as a group, rank in the top 10 in the NFL?

Bottom line: Allow Garrett a few years to get his guys in there, and if he gets his guys in there, the talent level improves, but he still is not producing results then it is time to let the coach go.  To often coaches are fired when the main problem is that the players suck, and the reason is because its alot cheaper to fire coaches than it is players.

Tony Romo is one of those "over paid" under achievers.  His post season record says so.

Yes it is time to part ways with alot of guys on this roster through trades or flat out cutting them............................

Uh isn't that what we did last year?  what happened to that "cleaning house" thing,......didn't we part ways with a lot of people then?  What about that culture change thing?

I'm not speaking at you DaBoys I'm talking directly to the Romo lovers.  Here's your order of excuses
1.  We're rebuilding
2.  Give Romo time to mature, it took Peyton Manning six years
3.  Terrell Owens is a distraction
4.  We need a running game
5.  We need more WR's
6.  Doug Free will work fine at LT we don't need Flozell
7.  Wade Philips isn't the right coach we need Jason Garrett
8.  Jerry's gonna clean house
9.  We'll be better because with Jason Garrett there'll be a culture change

Here's my favorite

10.  It's everybody else's fault when we lose, and Tony Romo's heroism when we win.  hahahahahaha
You clowns are full of more excuses then you are ***t.   And you're certainly full of that.

Here's what's wrong

Jerry Jones:  Paying for stats not wins.   Wants to wear all the hats, and has no clue what to do when he's wearing them.  His ego will not allow him to relinquish control of key parts of the team so the team continues to fail.  You saw that in his battle of egos with Jimmy Johnson.  As long as he continues to pay for performance and not demand wins first this team will keep being stocked with players who are only willing to do what it takes to get a contract extension or new contract.   They will not do what is needed to win because Jerry does not set the bar that high.   Long story short he pays for the wrong stats,...he doesn't pay wins, he pays for yards and sacks.

Jason Garrett:  Get real he wasn't that good as the OC what made anybody think changing his title to HC would change anything? Is coaching in an era where the style of play he is used to is gone.  It's too slow and old.  He's out of touch with the real speed of this game now.

The players as a whole: Jerry Jones doesn't require them to step up and get it done.  So they don't, it's that simple.  The same people keep amassing stats because that's all he requires them to do,......he doesn't require them to step up and be leaders, he doesn't require them to win big games by doing more than is asked.   Just like Tony Romo says,  all ya have to do is "try",........and because he doesn't demand them to do better than that,...............they don't,.....but since they do enough, they get to stay.  The problem is a lot of you don't get that, and you think Tony Romo is excluded from that idea.

I got some good news and some bad news, the good news is I made $200.00 off the Cowboys; the bad news is it’s a sad day when you bet against your team because you know they outright suck. I no longer can blame Romo because the whole team is just bad on both sides of the ball, nobody can tackle or defend the pass, and the offense can only score when the game has already been decided. Come next year nothing will change we will be talking pretty much about the same thing. Jerry Jones got his cheap Wal-Mart team won’t go out and get guys that can defend , won’t go out a get a real coach , wont go out a get someone that can backup Romo or challenge him for  the position.there’s nothing a Cowboy fan say right now to defend the Cowboys in anyway. It’s time the true Cowboy fan needs to admit that the Cowboys suck , and a change needs to be made.

The goal is to win games.  So what about DeMarcus Ware huh?  His stats are huge, but how many times do those huge stats actually impact games for the Cowboys?  I believe Warren Sapp was right when he said Ware couldnt lead an army of ants to a picnic.  The defense sucks, yet he is the face of the defense.

TRADE THEM ALL FOR I DONT CARE, LIKE I SAID....I AM HOPING FOR A COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF THIS TEAM.  AND THAT MEANS NO ONE IS SAFE IN MY OPINION, BECAUSE THIS WHOLE TEAM SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
