It would be like saying, "Hey, why pay this consultant $100,000 when we can get this guy for $50?" Yep, LOTS of companies jumping on that $50 bandwagon, I hear.Actually, they do. It's called outsourcing. Competency doesn't factor into the equation. Believe me, I know. I work for a company that has a habit of firing good domestic employees and outsourcing their jobs to grossly incompetent employees overseas. And that is so they can get away with paying someone $2 an hour over there instead of $10 here. Compare that to the difference between paying someone $28 million and getting a backup like Orlovsky for the veteran's minimum of around $800,000.
