We don't have to score 40 to beat San Fran.

I think I speak for all Saints fan when I say this but if the Saints win 14-13 next saturday, NOBODY will be complaining.

It's about survive and advance.

I like the Niner's but they just struggled to beat Seattle and St. Louis and have not faced any team that can come close to matching the Saints on offense. The Rams put up 27. I think the Saints can match that with ease. Plus Alex Smith in no Matt Stafford so San Fran is going to have real trouble keeping up.

Like I have been saying, the Niners don't care if you are the Rams, the Packers, or the Saints.  They will not get blown out, will keep the score close, and play great D.  The Lambs scored 14 garbage time points late in the 4th quarter like many teams have on the Niners to make the score look closer than it was.  You guys are in for a surprise next week. 

I know the niners are good. I have been following them for years and only cheer against them if the are playing the Saints. That D is spectacular but again they have not seen an offense the caliber of what the Saints will bring. I think they will keep it close early but in the end NO has too many weapons to be kept down for 4 quarters. In the end Alex Smith just dosen't have enough to go point for point with Brees. Akers has carried San Fran to quite a few W's this year and that wont be enough against New Orleans.

You guys are in for a surprise next week.

Do you actually think the Saints are overlooking the 49ers?  Do you think you're not going to get their A game?  Let's revisit this next week when you find out that the surprise was the 49ers not knowing what to do with a real team.

Jersey, Im guessing you're a new fan of the NFL??   You don't understand just how much the Saints and 49ers history meant to the fans of our squad... (see the quickie "History" thread that was just posted.)

When SF and NO used to meet up regularly, both sides expected the unexpected from this game...

besides NO is 8-2 against SF in the past 10 games... here's to hoping it goes to stays that number after next weekend :)
