Four airballs and several stupid turnovers at ANY point in the game sucks. It's nice that he "gets his act together" after sucking for a few minutes, but I don't think that fans are being unreasonable to ask him, as a four year starter under one of the best coaching staff in America, to not play like an idiot freshman for stretches of games. I understand a bad game, when shots just aren't falling. That's basketball. But STUPID decisions are not something I am ever going to be OK with from a four year starter.
Thswahn did have a good game overall, but it would have been a great game without the stupid stuff and his talent and experience level are capable of greta play on a regular basis. I don't expect Teahan to be great the majority of the time because he doesn't have the talent or the experience. I do expect T-Rob and Taylor to be great the majority of the time because they both have the talent to do so. T-Rob is doing what is necessary to live up to his talent, while Taylor is not.
I don't expect "good" Tyshawn to show up every night because there is very little to support that will happen, but I do think he will be "good" Tyshawn more than "bad" Tyshawn for the rest of the way because he has shown that ability to put together multigame streaks of playing good basketball before blowing up for a 7 or 8 turnover game.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Pretty sad when the only reasonable expectation for a guy with so much talent is to be really good only slightly more often than really terrible.
I think I like Mitch Holthus calling KU games better than most of the national people. Id take Mitch over Dickie V anyday. And I hear what you're saying about him calling Chiefs games and being a homer but I still listen every week on the internet cause I usually don't get the games on TV living in PA and all. But you gotta admit that he has one of the best calls in the league....TOUCHDOWN KAN-SAS CITY!!!!
