Ga Tech

Might as well look ahead again. I was gonna say how Temple will be a huge test this next week, but Ga Tech just went and handily beat NC State AT NC State, after damn-near taking out Duke. What crawled up their a#$&s ? Whatever it is I don't like it lol. Hopefully they just played their two best games of the season and will cool off. 

     Yeah I havent seen them play yet this year, one thing I remember from last years yellow jacket team is they played really hard for 40 minutes. Not loaded in talent but not an ounce of quit in them even when they were down big in games. This is one that Maryland needs to win at home, as somebody said on the last thread the acc road gets much tougher after this game. (not to mention the temple game)

     Just watched the Virginia/Duke game at Cameron tonight, good game. Cavs had 2 shots to tie it up late in the game, but couldn't hit, 3 point loss.  Cavaliers in the top 25 for the first time in a while, still early in the season but it looks like they have the talent to stay near the top of the ACC this year.  Their coach Tony Bennett (who's also a great lounge singer) has had a few years to build his squad, moving in the right direction, hopefully Turgeon can do the same.

     Kind of funny if you look at the acc standings right now, there's a big log jam of 1-1 teams but they've got Maryland in 4th right now. Gonna be tough to stay in that spot for this squad but you never know lol.

Oh yeah just looked at the schedule,I forgot they travel to Florida State on tuesday after ga tech Sunday, then temple on Saturday. Sheesh busy week, hope they are ready to play, 3 games in 7 days and 2 on the road. Tough test.

Oh yeah an one final note tonight, I went over to the Virginia board to see what they were saying about the Duke game tonight, and not one message or thread on their board, crazy thats the number 16 team in the country this week.  Man if the Terps were even sniffing the top 25 this board would be mobbed.

Strange isn't it? When I get bored I'll occasionally gloss over the the other ACC team boards. The only ones that are comparable to ours are Duke and NC. The other eithers have a few little threads or are barren like you said. Pretty unbelievable. I would think Ga Tech would be very active now, but no. 

One other thing I don't get. Ok we have a home game on Sunday, then have to fly the farthest possible distance in ACC all the way to Florida on one day's rest no time to prepare at all and play there on Tues. I know these are 18-20 yr old kids that can recover fast but that's just unfair. I hope we are the beneficiary of that too at some point in the season.

The farthest in the conference? LOL it's not like they are going to China or something. Its a 2 hour plane ride. I agree they should give some weight to not doing this but it is never a good time to make that trip and 10 other teams have to do it at some point also...

I think the Terps win this one. They seem to be dominant in the 1st half of games, but then falter in the 2nd half. Hopefully we can see a complete game from them.

Looks like the ACC is wide open IMHO. Just look at what has happened so far. NC lost. Duke just sliding by...looks like a clusterf*&K waiting for someone to step up and take it. If we win tomorrow we're at the upper end of said clusterF*&K. I'll take it. Can we get Stanrod back in here...I got lost in that whole deal whatever happened to him??

Up 5 at half...both teams horrible FG%. Luckily GT got turnover happy as well. Len ain't scoring

stoglin is getting quick 3 happy. But he's hitting 50% there.

YMFY! Nearing the top of the clusterf*&k called the ACC this year. I'll take it. Still need a few more games to truly determine the pecking order but I'd say at this point we're not gonna be the cellar dweller. Toughest part of the schedule coming up..........

Ugly win for the Ravens, followed by an ugly win by the Terps, lol.  Fine with me. Didn't see the first half but Mosely was the man in the 2nd half. Huge 3 pointer when jackets cut it to 4 with less than 3 mins left.  Nice to get a win today, might be a tough couple weeks coming up, buck up Terps fans. Good day for Maryland sports.

Nice solid win today.  This young TERP team seems to be coming along (slow albeit but thats ok) very nicely.  Only a two days and to FSU we go.  That should be a good test to see what the TERPS can do.  I really do like this team, lots of hustle and playing solid DEF.  It is Sooo nice to have Len in the middle and considering he has only played in 6 games so far.  IMO, there is tons to look forward to this year and to the future.
