And FSU plays DUKE after the TERPS on the 21st.  It would be nice if the TERPS can catch them "sleeping" or "looking ahead"  LOL

Mosley's experience the difference again today.  He has been SO clutch at crunch time this season in all facets.

Tough stretch coming up but this team might keep surprising.  Good chance Fla St. might suffer a letdown after their humiliation of UNC yesterday and suddenly Temple looks vulnerable as well.  Terps have to be kicking themselves about not being able to steal that one in Raleigh last weekend.

Given the unexpected results thus far this year, Terps fans have got to feel optimistic about the future with Turgeon at the helm.

I just woke up from my seat at the Comcast Center...they said I had to go Embarassed

Kidding aside...what a snooze fest. Other than Faust's 2 breakaway slams and Mosley's late 3 pt'r...boredom. At times there was literally no energy in the building.

I do like the defense this team plays...they often force the shot clock inside 10 seconds. Mosley going 10 for 10 @ the FT line kept the game from being close at the end.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Len got a quick hook at the beginning of both halves, Turgeon hardly tried to hide is annoyance.

During the post game interview, Turgeon said he kept Stoglin on the bench during the late stretch because "I couldn't get him to pass the ball".  Stoglin was out of control today...even more than you'd think he could be. This battle Turg is having with Stoglin is beginning to be the lead story of this season. After not starting Stoglin, now he's not playing because Terrell won't be the team-mate Turg is looking for...stay tuned.

Faust had a nice couple of minutes on the offensive and defensive side...progress???

Mosely was clearly the player today. It would be nice if he could have a nice Senior year...to take some of the stink off of the unfullfilled expectations of the last 3 years.

2-1 in ACC play!! Not many thought they would...I know I wasn't looking for very much. If you're a Terp fan you have to be a Turg fan right now.

Nice note BMouly, you think the energy deal had anything to do with the students still being gone (mine is as home )?
It was the first game I was able to watch on TV.
Len looked active, just beat.  Still adjusting you think?
They say its easy to loosen up but impossible to tighten up.
Maybe Turgen is working that issue for next year and the year after.
"Play the right way or sit"
Not a bad thing, especially with the low expectations this year.
Will be expecting top five in the ACC next year in pre-season.

BMouly, Len did get 28 minutes.
Staters all got about 30 with Faust getting 25.
Playing mostly 6 plus a little from two more.
Pretty slim it will show up later I think.

Hey JD,

Yea it could be a minutes thing, but I happened to be watching Turgeon and he clearly was annoyed. I like the "play right or sit" concept. This is a Maryland Terrapin basketball program...not an individual showcase for personal glory and riches.

The kids have been gone for awhile, so I don't think that was it. My opinion is that they just gave the crowd nothing to cheer for, other than a few key plays and some defensive play

Len looked like he needed a breather against NC St too...I think he may be having trouble executing because he's not in the kind of shape he needs to be. I do think he's adjusting. I watch him during warmups and on FT's...he has nice form for a jumper, but he seems content to force his way to the basket. I'd lke to see him try to stretch his offense out to 10' or so.

I forgot to mention it, but has anyone ever seen an "Administratvie" Technical foul before? I guess they didn't want to add a foul to a player. I don't think I've ver seen a foul go to the coaches in this way.

On to Fla St...those same guys who just whipped NC Frown

Thanks again BMouly, you can't see the coaches and player posture and attitude on TV .
The Bench Technical was for six men on the court.
This past week a team won with six and the refs didn't notice until after the game.
It was on the news and I think all the refs have been watching .
Its the first one I remember.

I saw that story...they fired the coach, of the losing team, after that game.  He was already in trouble, but I guess that was the straw....

Lady Terps pulled one out last night. They're playing pretty ragged right now with poor shooting and turnovers, but a long tough season ahead should get them tournament tough.

I think tonight's game is the best indicator, of our season going forward, that we've had so far.
